Chandelier Bar

This bar is the perfect place for any occasion. With a vertical 4 x 4-metre beer bottle chandelier, this diverse indoor/outdoor function space transforms perfectly for year-round events. The building boasts river and city views which provide an incredible backdrop to your event with glass sliding doors leading onto the waterfront's promenade where you can sit in as many chairs as you like! Chandelier Bar also offers direct access to its own private bar - no need to go looking around here if it isn't what you're after because there really is something that accommodates everyone on offer at all times of day or night too; interchangeable furniture means there will always be somewhere comfortable enough so that guests don't feel uncomfortable throughout their stay either

Riverside

Riverside offers a great, diverse venue to cater for both small and large events. With the ability for indoor or outdoor space with stunning views of downtown St Louis, Riverside can be enjoyed year-round as its climate is controlled by warm overhead heaters in winter months and cool misting fans on balmy evenings.

Laneway

Our Melbourne laneway-inspired street art gives you a taste of the city's eclectic, vibrant vibe. With antique Edison lights and wood-panelled walls, this venue offers both seated and stand-up functions that are perfect for any occasion!

Green House

With lush greenery, city skyline views and a feature wall overlooking the historic Polly Woodside sailing ship, this secluded outdoor deck is the perfect space for intimate cocktail events. The overhead heaters and awnings provide shelter in winter and the bench seating provides a casual and inviting atmosphere.

Bridge Terrace

A versatile semi-private space catering to both stand-up and sit-down events, the Bridge Terrace is just meters away from the stunning Seafarers Bridge on the Yarra River. With an exclusive entry and city skyline views, this riverside area is set to impress guests for all types of events. 100% enclosable weather-proof blinds and overhead heaters make this a cosy space for winter, while festoon lighting and misting fans make it the perfect spot for alfresco drinks in summer. 

Full Venue

A warm, inviting indoor and outdoor beer house right on the Yarra River with views flowing to the city skyline. Specialising in heritage, premium CUB and guest beers, The General Assembly has an extensive variety of 17 draught beers on tap and is also one of only a handful of venues in Australia to offer Brewery Fresh Carlton Draught from copper Duo Tanks. At the heart of the kitchen is our unique charcoal oven that our chefs draw their cocktail menu inspiration from. Whether it’s hosting your annual conference lunch, celebrating the EOFY with Colleagues or a relaxed client networking event, The General Assembly has you covered. With great drinks, good meal sizes and menu, live music and super helpful staff, this restaurant won't disappoint!

The General Assembly’s function menus include a fantastic selection of items from a seasonally rotating pantry. The cocktail menu offers a wide selection of items catering to a variety of tastes, along with substantial options. For sit-down affairs, we offer a generous “Feedme” menu. Drinks are available either as a convenient beverage package or on consumption through a bar tab.
