We cater in this space for tea breaks, pre dinner drinks, gala events, trade displays and exhibitions.

A beautiful destination for a getaway. The reception staff were friendly & helpful even before arrival in booking a room that would suit our needs. Even with the awareness and understanding that these requests could be subject to availability, we were lucky to have these requests met. In the online booking process we noticed for the room type & bed arrangement there wasn’t any availability for what we needed. So I called to see if it was possible to have the bedding arrangement adjusted in what room that was available to fit our requirements, and they were understanding and worked to make it a possibility. I also requested a room with a view of the golf course, if available of which we managed to get. Staff were clear in verbalising they’d do their best as sometimes it’s not possible, of which we respected. We arrived 2 hours earlier than our check in, but had needed the bathroom & spoke with the lovely reception ladies who checked if we’d be able to get in early, and we were able. The room itself was fantastic, modern & clean. A great view of the golf course & two twin singles. The entire space was functional & beautiful in design. Beds were super comfy too! Within short walking distance to the beachfront which was very handy. Definitely will return in the future. Thank you also to Tracey in reception who’s kindness in assistance with the checkout process was much appreciated.

I love coming to stay at The Sands in Torquay. It is in a beautiful location at the quieter end where you can enjoy nature and easy access to a beautiful beach. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious but calming and I love the Eleven brand products that they provide. I always receive excellent service from all staff who are professional and friendly. It’s really convenient to have restaurants and cafes as part of the resort. The outlook to the golf course is beautiful. I’m already planning to book my next trip here.

We spent 6 nights at The Sands in a twin accessible room, which we had wanted. We booked on the day we went and Robyn was fantastic in sorting us out so last minute. All of the reception/booking staff are great. There is an onsite restaurant/cafe/bar. We had dinner there every night. All of the meals were great, the drinks great. Reasonably priced for a hotel. All day dining. Huge shout out to the restaurant staff who were so amazing, including often under pressure. Thank you to the chefs who were very flexible, which you don't always get with restaurants. Dietary requirements are catered for. The room was clean, modern and serviced fully daily if you want that. It has a huge TV and mini bar fridge. Beds super comfy. Very quiet hotel, we didn't hear any noise. Free parking on site. I highly recommend The Sands, we hope to return next year

Each year a group of retired work colleagues get together for a Christmas lunch. The events Manager, Kaylah, is fabulous to work with. She is very efficient and works to ensure all is perfect. She understands what we need and Kayla works at making sure that the day goes smoothly . She organized our lunch with a Christmas theme. We had our own room with bar service. Round Tables were beautifully set with Xmas decorations and crackers. Staff were very amenable and meals were great. A great place for a group gathering!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. King bed was incredibly comfortable. Rooms were spotless and recently renovated. Staff all friendly. Couldn’t ask for much more in a hotel, will definitely be back.
