I recently stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Perth for a family trip and had a pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were welcoming and efficient. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The bed was particularly comfortable and spacious to fit 2 adults and 1 children. One of the highlights I always look forward to is the breakfast buffet spread! The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, and I really love the spread! Unfortunately, didn’t not take much photos of the spread due to rushing for time. PS: the churro they serve was amazing! The hotel’s is within walking distance to Kings Park, Elizabeth Quay, and the vibrant Northbridge area, which is known for its restaurants and nightlife. Overall, Four Points by Sheraton Perth offers a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of the city. Glad that I chose the hotel during my trip!
I honestly expected a lot more from a Four Points hotel. Room: I got a family room, which was meant for 2 people but had the option of an additional bed for the 3rd person. - Room was fairly large and spacious, even after the additional bed was added. - You can sort of tell that the room is quite old with the furnishings, but it was quite well lit. - Biggest complaint was the air conditioning - the room was just absolutely sweltering hot with no air circulation. The thermostat control in the room was useless and the temperature / air flow remains the same, no matter what you do on that thermostat. Had to call down to reception, who said that they would have their engineering team turn on the air conditioning. After which, it was much better but the air con was on full blast blowing directly at the beds, so it got too cold after a while. Called down to reception to have it adjusted by 1-2 degrees, which resulted in the ai conditioning being turned off again. I’m not really sure what sort of 4 star hotel requires guests to call reception to have their air conditioning turned on / controlled, with the air conditioning only coming with the options of on vs off. Service: - Front desk is average at best - unfriendly and gives the impression that they don’t really want to be there, but at least got their jobs done efficiently. - Housekeeping was terrible - in the few days I was there, I had to consistently remind them to set up the room for 3 people (we got a family room with additional bed). - Carpeted room floors were not vacuumed or cleaned in the 4-5 days I was there for either - there were sand and hair all over the entrance to the room. We left 1 used cup in the room, but that was not washed or even rinsed, just left dirty. Location: - It’s right outside the RAC Arena, so convenient if you have business there on your trip. Otherwise, the hotel is a good 15min walk from the Perth train station and the central part of Perth city. - There are some free CAT buses between the hotel and train station / city centre, but these services stop very early on weekends. - The walk to the train station does not feel very safe for solo females, as it is not well lit and I had a homeless person following me and shouting at me as I was walking. Please remember to check your bill as well after you leave, especially if you had booked a 3 person family room. I’ve read many reviews about how others were charged for an additional bed for the 3rd person in the room, even though their initial booking was already for 3 people. As such, I had emailed to clarify with the hotel earlier to confirm that my booking and price was indeed for 3 people. At that point of time, there was already confusion from the hotel as they gave me different answers when I had asked several times. Finally confirmed that the price I had booked for was indeed for 3 people. However upon checkout, I realise I was billed for an additional 3rd person. I was lucky to have checked the bill and the hotel had to check before providing a refund for that 3rd bed charged. Overall, I’d check to see if there are other better located hotels closer to / within the city centre. Even if these other hotels are 2-3 stars, you’re not missing out on much since this Four Points definitely feels like a 3 star hotel at max. And these other hotels would definitely be better priced without the Marriott brand surcharge.
The hotel is old and ugly. The lobby is bad. The rooms are old and the lights are white. Which hotels has white lights? The toilet is ok thought is clean and looks new. Philip is a great guy who is helpful. Thanks! Breakfast is so so. Hardly any variety. I will not stay again for sure.
Stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Perth and had a wonderful experience! The hotel is excellent, with modern amenities and a comfortable ambiance. The service is truly perfect – the staff were attentive, friendly, and made our stay memorable. The only suggestion I have is to add more variety to the breakfast menu, as it could use a bit more diversity. Overall, a great place to stay, and I’d happily recommend it!
Got to the room in summer and it was 30 degrees Celsius. Turn AC to 19 degrees and no air was coming out of the vents. Called down stairs to request assistance working the wall mounted controls for them to tell me they’ll activate it on their end. I asked what do you mean? And he said you need to call and ask for AC to be activated. I was shocked. I had a shower to cool off and then back to the room. Still no AC. Called again and they said it takes 20-30 minutes for air flow to start. It was 1am. So waited and sweated for 20 minutes in bed until the low flow air kicked on. Crazy that you need to call to request AC to be turned on and then to wait 30 minutes for it to activate. 1 star!!!
