Reviews for Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre
Norig Bakla
Clean, well designed room layout. All modern furnishings and perfectly located in the city centre close to bars, restaurants and Rundle mall. Car rental places around the corner. Short walk to casino and the art galleries, SA museums and cricket ground. Breakfast included and reasonable for its inclusion. Great shower but I didn’t find the bed that comfortable. Otherwise everything else was great. Easy check in and check out.

Staying for business trip for over a month now and loving it here. I only work night shifts and the room (9th floor) is very soundproof and the blinds make the room completely dark during the day. Can't fault the soundproof at all (not sure why other reviews complain about the noise). I sleep very well during the day. Biggest appreciation to reception/reservation staff, RANJITA, who has been doing an excellent job in assisting with all my inquiries and complaints. She needs to be promoted! Thank you RANJITA. Breakfast is great for the inclusion of the room rate. Even though I have to eat scrambled eggs and bacon everyday, I'm grateful for the inclusion. Coffee, toasts, fruit, yoghurt and pastries are great additions to the basic hot breakfast. Restaurant staff are efficient and work very hard to make the service go smoothly. Laundry is very much appreciated and only $2 for a big load of washing and $2 for drying on both commercial machines. Free washing powders ! You literally don't need to bring any toiletries as they have selection of them provided for no extra charge (vanity kit, soap bar, shower cap, shavers, etc). Gym is basic but sufficient (attached photos), 2 x treadmills, 1 x cross trainer, 1 x bike, and set of dumbbells (4, 6, 8, 12, 14 kgs) and a bench. The location is convenient, less than 5 min walk to Rundle mall and surrounding CBD (China town). Night time can get a bit rowdy as there are plenty of massage parlors (you know the kind) and pubs and bars that attract many youngsters. But it doesn't bother me at all as the location is convenient for me.

We enjoyed a 3 night night stay. The location is in the city centre, at first we thought it could have street noise, our room though, 🌻was so quiet with a close fitted blind that made it quite dark. No annoying room lights blinking, and a comfortable bed which made for a good night's sleep. The breakfast selection was fresh with a good variety of options both hot and cold and consistently topped up. Nice decor and attention to details. Would recommend!🌻

Very nice rooms and well-maintained. Food is average. Tastes like microwave-heated food. Near many great places. Avoid rooms on the lower floors. Noise is unbearable and goes on into the late night. Windows literally shake from the bass.

Location is great, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Thai restaurant (8020 BK) downstairs is a hit. The bed moves when you move on it (58 kg woman), 2 pillows are provided (firm and soft) but they are so flat that you wake up with a sore neck. Had to change Rooms as first smelled like toilet cleaner, gave a headache. Change of Rooms was reluctantly done and provision of additional pillows were initially responded with "we will see if we have any extra pillows". Lacked the warmth. Breakfast is basic (scrambled eggs, bacon, chipolatas, baked beans, bread) but manageable.
