I understand that as the cost of living continues to rise, hotels and businesses are also absorbing increased costs. However, paying $260 for one night here simply didn’t feel like good value for money. Check-in isn’t until 3pm and check-out is at 10am, so you’re effectively paying $260 for a 19-hour stay. Then on arrival, parking is another $30, and a further $50 was taken from my account as a refundable security/minibar deposit. I’m familiar with hotels keeping credit card details or placing pre-authorisations for incidentals, but I personally haven’t experienced money actually being taken from my account upfront and then refunded later. Kennigo Hotel itself is perfectly presentable and the location is reasonable. There was nothing particularly wrong with the hotel. My disappointment is really about what you receive for the price. My room had essentially no outlook whatsoever — the photo attached is the view from my window. For $260 a night, plus parking, I would expect either a better room, a better outlook, more generous check-in/check-out times, or something about the experience that made it feel a little more special. Unfortunately, it just felt very ordinary for a fairly extraordinary price. Based on the room I was allocated and what I paid, I wouldn’t return and would choose to spend my money elsewhere next time.

I stayed in the hotel for 4 weeks as it was close to the RBWH. For me the rooms were excellent and cleaned daily. All of the people were lovely, courteous and helpful. There were many options for breakfast which were excellent. The location is close to the Fortitude Valley Station where you'll also find fast foods, pharmacy and Metro. The only draw back is that there is no laundry service. One of the hotel employees mentioned Spirit Water laundry service which is good and only 1 km away. Thank you for a great stay.

I recently stayed at Kennigo Hotel Brisbane and had a very positive experience. There was an issue with the TV in my original room, so I spoke to reception and was moved to another room. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred there as well. The receptionist who assisted me was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process. To make up for the inconvenience, she kindly upgraded me to a larger room, which was greatly appreciated. Excellent customer service can make all the difference, and turn a frustrating situation into a pleasant stay. Thank you for going above and beyond I would happily stay here again. 😊

The room was good. It wasn’t super cheap for a basic room but more than adequate. Can’t really rate service because we didn’t require any (such as room service etc). Reception staff were polite and efficient. No price list for mini bar. There were two small bottles of water in the room so we couldn’t work out if they were part of the mini bar. (The bottles weren’t in the mini bar) - anyway we found out they were part of the mini bar when they charged our card $10 the next day. Thought that was a bit stingy.

Great value, easy 5min walk down to Fortitude Valley shops and train station or you can have a 30min stroll into the Queen St Mall. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Very compact tho could do with a drawer and some hanging space. Shower was nice and hot. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. You can include breakfast with your accommodation and enjoy it on the terrace in the Sun. Room service and snacks available after 6pm. Wheelchair accessible and parking is available at $30 per night.
