From the moment we arrived, the service provided by the manager, Paola, was exceptionally warm, kind and very professional. Her approach was both attentive and balanced, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the menu and each dish’s details. She offered thoughtful alternatives and clear guidance whenever questions arose about the available options. I hope all the staff can give to the customer at least same service level. The food presented good flavors overall, though the portion sizes did not fully justify the prices. While the quality and taste were commendable, the menu items seemed somewhat overpriced, especially considering similar offerings can be found elsewhere at more reasonable costs. The atmosphere and music, however, contributed positively to the overall dining experience. Pork and Prawn tacos are amazing. I’d recommend visiting if you want to enjoy the full dining experience, but if you’re just after a good meal, there are other spots that offer similar food for better value and not overprice food.

Fonda Mexican is a decent Mexican restaurant that serves up your favourite Mexican dishes, from burrito to quesadillas to nachos and more. There are daily lunch deals as well as lunch meal deals. Ordering is by the QR code on the tables. There are printed menus on the table that help with selection. Service on this occasion was a tad ordinary tough this could be due to new staff. The meals are tasty and drinks are refreshing.

If you’re in Canberra and you like Mexican just go here! The croquettes, jalapeño bites and the fully loaded nachos! Wow!!! Staff were friendly and service was quick. I was here for 4 night and I ate here 3 times! Well worth a visit.

Had a great time at this restaurant! Got seated very quickly by staff after just walking in despite it being a busy Saturday night. We placed our order via the mobile site and our food and drinks were out under ten minutes later. The Feed Me (For 2) was great value and the portion sizes were just right for two people. The nachos were amazing, the mushroom tacos were full of flavour (and this comes from someone who usually doesn’t eat mushrooms) and the sweet potato quesadilla had so much flavour. The let down of the meal deal was the corn which would have been better just buttered than caked in seasoning. Smoky Mac & Cheese Croquettes are also highly recommended! All food came out piping hot! Service was good and I will forgive them for asking us to fill out a survey mid meal because everything else was so good! Also great music here, never used Shazam so much at dinner time! Will come back again.

Fonda is not a bad venue for Mexican food in the CBD. The nachos were good but not sure if we got the one with the meat option because there wasn’t that much. Otherwise everything was good. This was the feed for two. I forgot to take a photo of the corn that is included. Maybe a 3 -3.5 star for the food but the staff are really lovely and it’s nice and bright inside
