Outstanding Service – Veronica Li I would like to take a moment to formally recognise Veronica Li, Supervisor F&B, for her exceptional service during our stay at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove. We have interacted with Veronica on several occasions, and each time she has demonstrated an outstanding level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for guests. She consistently puts customers first and ensures that every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well looked after. During an extremely busy weekend with hundreds of dining guests, Veronica handled the pressure with remarkable ease. She remained calm, positive, and attentive throughout, all while maintaining a friendly demeanour and a genuine smile. Her ability to manage high-volume service without compromising on quality or respect for guests is truly impressive. Veronica’s dedication, leadership, and positive attitude significantly enhanced our breakfast experience and reflect the high standards expected of a five-star hotel. She is a true asset to the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove team, and her efforts absolutely deserve recognition. Thank you, Veronica, for making our stay that much more enjoyable.
5 star service. Exceptional staff, the grounds are well kept, beautifully appointed rooms and pools clean, different restaurants to choose from casual, fine dining both exceptional. Good family vibe love the beach pool, the kangaroos 🩷 Breaky buffet good assortment of different food, fresh and consistent. Veronica is absolute stand out, her service is first class, we have owned restaurants and cafes for 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like her! Great attitude, attentive, caring and efficient. Thank you for making our stay special. We will be back! Keep up the good work team.
A Home Away from Home, QLD-Style! As a Sydney-sider who normally runs at a frantic pace, the InterContinental QLD staff forced me to stop, relax, and operate purely on 'Queensland time'—and I am so grateful they did! This hotel isn't just a luxury stay; it has a beautiful, genuine community vibe. From the moment we hit the breakfast area after the first night, we were family. The absolute dream team of Veronica, Sophie, Jube, and Trisha knew us by name, always greeted us with a warm chat, and cleared our plates before we even had a chance to wonder where to put them. And the coffee! Evylin is the barista you wish you could smuggle home. Her personalised coffee orders were always perfect. The breakfast experience was topped off by Chef Quintin, who handled my 'difficult' egg requests like a champ—and by day two, he remembered the order and my name. What a way to start every morning! The entire staff, from Sam at the front desk, breakfast crew to the Pool Lagoon, is willing to go above and beyond to help. If you're looking for world-class service combined with a warm, home-away-from-home feeling, this is the place. Highly recommend!
So inconsiderate of the guest staying at the hotel hosting private outdoor event with loudest music till 10pm. Requested for volume to be turned down but wasnt actioned. We were only told about limited acess to the area, never about the noise level. Very disapppinted being woken up by all the thumping beats. Although your events manager shouldn't have allowd the level of volume in the first place, if you had advise that loud music would go on till 10pm, I would have actually enjoyed the music and went to sleep afterwards. It's all about communicating to your guests. Edited: to make it worse, the alarm clock in the room went off at midnighit waking me up again. If there is a default alarm on the clock, it should be set to be turned off. Or if there was a Cinderella that used the room prior to us, you should have a procedure for housekeeping to turn off the alarms for the next guest. A very sleep deprived holiday! Otherwise, the hotel had facilties and programs for the kids including the lagoon, pools, beach toys, free icypoles and movie night. They were well thought out. Just another feedback - the kids programs were NOT communicated on check-in or in any other ways. I only could utilise the programs as I saw them on the website. I didn't mind less kids at the activities but a lot of families would have missed out on the fun activities.
My wife and I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hotel at Sanctuary Cove and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully presented, peaceful, and feels like a true escape, but what really made the stay exceptional was the service, especially at the Fireplace Restaurant. A special shout-out to Rosalie, our expat french waitress, who was attentive and genuinely delightful. She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, and her recommendations were spot on. She recommended trying an espresso martini in the Veranda bar prepared by another French expat, Nico, and I have to say it was probably the best we have had for a long time. And I’m not sure if we wandered into a luxury hotel or accidentally crossed into a little pocket of France. There seem to be French staff everywhere, not that we’re complaining, it certainly added a charming European touch, but I half expected someone wearing a beret to hand me a baguette with breakfast. Overall, a fantastic stay with exceptional service, it is highly recommended, and we will definitely return.
