I stayed for 3 nights in a spa suite. The staff were amazing, the room was clean and perfectly sized but the bedroom was not sleep able as I am a hot sleeper and there is no air-conditioning in the room and also the TV is not smart and I need tv to sleep but cant hack TV channels and need to cast. Other than that the facilities are great, the staff are amazing and the positioning is great.

Absolutely disgusted. There is no working aircon in the room that is held together with patches and silicon. Asked for a porta cot at check in, they said it would be in the room, when we got there, it wasn't. Asked if they could provide one and they said "housekeeping went home at 1pm". Alright, well where does my 7 month old sleep? We had to get a fan so I could cool the bedroom down enough for my 7 month old to get to sleep. The spa was scorching hot and burnt the legs of my wife. There are no towels by the pool. Missing tiles everywhere, the ladders to get in and out of the pool are all loose. I have the doors open to let in what breeze I can, but now we have all the traffic and train noise coming in. Hands down one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. $300/ night!! So much for a bloody relaxing holiday! So many of the buttons in the elevator are broken. Staff on reception was originally rude but then helped out where she could. Deadset want my money back. Completely unenjoyable. Pathetic really.

Absolutely the worst motel experience I’ve ever had — and that is saying something. I stayed here in December (booked through Booking.com) and have tried contacting the motel over and over again, and they haven’t bothered to respond once. The complete lack of customer service is unbelievable. I booked a room with two beds because I was travelling with a friend. When we arrived, the pull‑out sofa wasn’t even made up. We were in a hurry so we figured we’d just have to pull it out and we would deal with it later. Turns out we couldn’t, because when we got back that night the pull‑out wasn’t just unmade — it was completely broken. The legs/bracket were snapped off and lying on the floor. Totally unusable. So we ended up crammed into one tiny double bed, which is absolutely not what I paid for. And the room itself? A joke. • It wasn’t properly cleaned • The spa bath spat out black gunk • The air con barely worked on a scorching day • The parking was confusing and not marked properly For the price I paid, this was an absolute rip‑off. If I’d known the second bed was broken, I would NEVER have booked this place. What really pushed this from “bad stay” to “never again” was the motel completely ignoring every message I’ve sent since December. Not one reply. Not even an apology. Save your money. There are plenty of places that actually care about their guests — this is not one of them

The sofa bed was broken and non-operable (the room was advertised and reserved as a one- bedroom apartment with sofa bed), the restaurant dining room and bar was closed for "holiday hours" for the entire week I stayed (not advertised or noted on the website...they only offered a buffet breakfast that closed at 10am). Despite the heat, the pool was an ice-bath. The room was very large and provided the basics, however, the dishwasher didn't work, the dryer would not dry our clothes, the bathtub was cracked across the middle and created a bubble when showering, the soap and hair dispensers contained watered-down product that was no use, the laundry door was broken, tiles were missing on the balcony, and there was water damage throughout the entire apartment (especially in the bathroom). Room turn over service was not clearly explained, although when we requested service (for example clean towels) we received them quickly. We brought everything to the attention of the receptionist and were only compensated with a $50 discount to the $150 parking bill. I paid a little over $1700 for the stay and was so disappointed.

I recently stayed at Mantra Parramatta and unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations I normally have as an ALL Accor Gold member. I want to start by saying that one of the Asian receptionists was extremely friendly and lovely to speak with. He genuinely made a positive impression. However, overall service consistency was lacking. Despite requesting early check-in, I wasn’t given access even a minute before the standard 2:00 pm time. As a Gold member, I’ve consistently received early check-in at other Accor properties, so this was disappointing. I also didn’t receive any room upgrade, which is completely fine as I was happy with what I had booked, but there was no acknowledgment of my membership benefits. Each time I approached reception with an enquiry, the staff didn’t seem to check my room details or membership status. Everything felt very verbal and transactional, rather than personalised. The most frustrating part was at the restaurant. I was charged $46 instead of the correct invoice amount of $32. I was told the issue would be resolved the next day and that someone would call me, but that never happened during my three-night stay. At checkout, I was not granted even a small extension past the 10:00 am checkout time. I was simply told the hotel was fully sold out. Even at hotels where I’m not a member, I’m often given until 11:00 am, so this felt quite dismissive. On a positive note, the location is excellent, walking distance to the train station, main bus stop, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. The room itself was decent and comfortable. However, the common areas especially the hallway carpets need attention. There were visible stains and an unpleasant smell on the floor where I stayed. Overall, the stay left a sour taste for me. I personally wouldn’t return, but others may have a better experience.
