Reviews for Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay

Service on check in was great and friendly. Overall the place is nice and clean. Feels premium. I think the rooms are slightly tired in comparison to other same standard hotels. Amenities in the room could be better. No minibar.. no bath.. view was ok but building work directly next door. No noise though so pretty good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay at Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay I had an amazing stay at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay from May 28–30 in Room 2405. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed with their warm hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. What stood out the most was the exceptional level of service. The team was always friendly, proactive, and willing to assist with any request. Whether it was providing helpful information, arranging assistance, or simply ensuring that everything was perfect, their dedication truly enhanced my experience. Room 2405 offered breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and the iconic Opera House, making the stay even more memorable. The thoughtful welcome amenities, including fresh fruit and refreshments, were a lovely touch and reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. The combination of outstanding service, an unbeatable location, comfortable accommodations, and spectacular views made this one of the best hotel experiences I have had. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Guest Relations team and all staff members for their kindness and support throughout my stay. I highly recommend Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay and look forward to returning on my next visit to Sydney.

I paid approximately AUD $900 for an Opera House view room. While the view itself met expectations, I was surprised to discover that the room provided only instant coffee. When contacted reception, I was informed that coffee machines are only provided in rooms located on higher floors. My Marriott Bonvoy profile clearly states a preference for a high-floor room. During my 14-night trip in Australia, I stayed at multiple five-star and four-star properties, as well as a motel in Port Campbell. Every other property, even the motel, provided a coffee maker as a standard in-room amenity. If certain amenities are restricted by floor or category, this distinction should be clearly disclosed at the time of booking. The breakfast buffet is good, but there is only one coffee machine with paper cups.

We just finished an absolutely amazing 8 night stay at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay. The hotel was in the perfect location and central to where we wanted to be. Public transportation was so close (tram, ferries, train, bus, etc.) The customer service was the best anywhere with great communication, friendly notes and surprises, and special accommodations with my mobility scooter. Special shoutout to Kyra will her wonderful welcome as guest relations manager, Bella at the front office with her kindness and help, Monica who was so friendly and helpful each morning at breakfast, and Ayesha who kept our room clean and orderly. The concierge desk were so helpful and appreciated. There were also many others who went above and beyond in providing great customer service. The buffet breakfast each morning was delicious and worth it. It included so many food and drink options. We especially enjoyed the fresh eggs to order and omelette station. I highly recommend this hotel due to its excellent location, helpful accommodations, and wonderful and friendly customer service. We will return.

Overall, my stay at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Harbour was excellent. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team set a positive tone — welcoming, efficient, and genuinely attentive. Check‑in was smooth, and every interaction felt professional yet friendly. The breakfast and evening service were consistently well‑organised, with a good variety of dishes and fresh ingredients. The location is unbeatable — just steps from Circular Quay, the Opera House, and great dining options. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient. A special callout to Mr. Awam, the barista I met one evening. His courteous service and attention to detail stood out, and he made the best latte. Small touches like this elevate the overall experience.
