Fabulous location with fantastic views. The staff were awesome, with an extra mention to Nathan and Bernadette at the front counter. They were so friendly and helpful. A small issue was trying to get extra sugar each day for our morning coffee. We got a heap at the beginning of our stay & then cleaning staff took it while we were out. It was so weird that such a great motel was so stingy with giving us sugar lol. Overall I would highly recommend the View 😀
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were massive and bed was comfy. Close to trains, metro rail and heaps of restaurants close by. As it's the central business district though, some places close on weekends but also means good rates for the hotel.
There were two staff members at the counter, and both were assisting customers when I arrived. I stood in front of them and waited. One staff member finished serving her customer, but since she appeared to be doing something on the computer, I waited to see if she would acknowledge or greet me. Instead, I continued waiting for the other staff member to finish assisting her customer. When she finally spoke to me, she asked, "What do you need?" but her tone did not feel welcoming. I replied that I was checking in. She then said something else, and as I looked at her, trying to understand, she asked, "Are you following?" I was quite shocked by the way she said it, and I felt embarrassed. After that, she mentioned something about the card, but by then I felt nervous, flustered, and started stuttering. I found it difficult to understand her, partly because of the way she spoke to me, which I perceived as rude and unfriendly. The staff member was a white female wearing glasses. This occurred at approximately 1:40 PM on Saturday, May 29.
The Vibe Hotel is a really nice, modern spot with great service and comfortable rooms. The rooftop pool is absolutely cool – sleek with amazing harbor views, perfect for relaxing. Then heading into the city for Iggy Azalea’s party at Noir was a 10/10 blast – super fun and unforgettable! Totally worth checking out. Highly recommend!!
Very disappointing stay with a disturbingly similar issue reported as another reviewer when a staff member started entering my room before asking if they could enter so they could restock the mini bar. Then he asked if I was checking out. This all happened within an hour of my checking in and while I was exiting the shower. Very strange, unnecessary, and unsettling. Then the thermostat was fixed to 20C minimum and could not be set lower even with hot and muggy weather conditions. As if that weren’t bad enough, the air conditioning would automatically turn off after some time including overnight while sleeping, making the room temperature unbearable. Why on earth would a hotel have such a poor guest experience by design and seemingly not care? I called the front desk to report the problem, and they matter of factly explained that the thermostat could not be set differently. That’s quite a choice for a hospitality business. Then after storing my bags with the hotel, they had clearly thrown my bag on a dirty closet floor because it came back filthy and covered in dust. I had to ask for a towel to wipe it off, and the front desk staff seemed a bit put off by that reasonable request even though I explained why I was asking. Please do better.
