Reviews for Vibe Hotel North Sydney

Very disappointing stay with a disturbingly similar issue reported as another reviewer when a staff member started entering my room before asking if they could enter so they could restock the mini bar. Then he asked if I was checking out. This all happened within an hour of my checking in and while I was exiting the shower. Very strange, unnecessary, and unsettling. Then the thermostat was fixed to 20C minimum and could not be set lower even with hot and muggy weather conditions. As if that weren’t bad enough, the air conditioning would automatically turn off after some time including overnight while sleeping, making the room temperature unbearable. Why on earth would a hotel have such a poor guest experience by design and seemingly not care? I called the front desk to report the problem, and they matter of factly explained that the thermostat could not be set differently. That’s quite a choice for a hospitality business. Then after storing my bags with the hotel, they had clearly thrown my bag on a dirty closet floor because it came back filthy and covered in dust. I had to ask for a towel to wipe it off, and the front desk staff seemed a bit put off by that reasonable request even though I explained why I was asking. Please do better.

We booked a day stay at The Vibe North Sydney this past Sunday, March 1st, specifically for a rare, relaxing day to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, our privacy was completely shattered. After lunch, a total stranger walked right into our room. The front desk had mistakenly assigned our room to another guest and handed them a working keycard. Being interrupted in such a private space was startling and a major violation of our security. Instead of a restful getaway, we spent the rest of the day on edge. We were told at checkout it was a "system glitch," but that doesn't excuse the breach of privacy. We are incredibly disappointed and are looking for a refund to make this right. We emailed the hotel the same night and we are still waiting to hear back on how they are planning to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else?

Highly recommend this hotel ✨ I loved the Sydney- inspired décor, the spacious and comfortable room with a lovely view, and the pool. The staff were friendly and attentive. Plus, it’s just a 30-minute walk to the Opera House, great location and atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel we stayed in a disabled friendly room so very spacious bathroom and bedroom. Bed and pillows very comfy overall a nice stay with Metro station only minutes away. Below the hotel there are many options for lunch although most closed at dinner time. Woolworths right next door the only thing I will say it is quite a bit out of the city centre but easily reached by train.

False advertising and disappointing service: We live in Sydney and booked this hotel specifically to enjoy a relaxing day by the pool during the current heatwave. Upon arriving at the pool, we were surprised to find there were no umbrellas available. When we raised this with reception, we were told that the hotel does not have pool umbrellas at all, despite the fact that the hotel’s website and Booking.com prominently show multiple large umbrellas around the pool area. Unfortunately, no alternative solution was offered. When we expressed our concerns — particularly regarding sun exposure and the fact that our booking decision was based on the advertised facilities — the manager was dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. We were genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service. If a hotel advertises certain amenities, guests should be able to rely on them being available. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.
