This hotel has lots to improve 1. House keeping came with wrong order (asked for razor at 1pm but came with shaving cream WITHOUT razor after 30 mins and you can't reach them from 2pm to 6pm) 2. Breakfast restaurant staff insist my room had consumed breakfast when it's not true. The gentlemen was frowning and frustrated why my room card only reflects 1 person which is not within my control (we had 2 club rooms meant for 4 and only 3 pax staying). No greetings and only frustration and grumbling from the restaurant staff. Bad way to start my morning However I'm giving it 5 stars as I'm fortunate enough to meet 2 person who helped and assisted me from check in to check out with a big genuine smile 1. Nicky (or Nicki) - you can see her everywhere at the lobby. She promptly assisted me with my luggages, shared information about where I can park my car and how the hotel can assist with parking while checking in and transportation to airport. I saw her at check in, she greeted us when we came back at the main door with a smile and also send us off the next day with a big smile 2. Ryker - he was so meticulous during the check in process, sharing all details about the hotel facilities and amenities and trying his best to get my room request. Upon check out, he's busy helping to weigh our luggages multiple times with very precise record of each luggage weight, while checking us out. We were grateful we got Ryker in the queue for both check in and check out and his great assistance and professionalism. Big thanks to Ryker and Nicky for making our stay in Auckland lovely.

We had a wonderful experience! The service was fantastic and the room amenities were perfect. We were even given complimentary snack in the fridge and enjoyed many other free benefits. The pool was surprisingly warm, we stayed at the end of June/start of winter. We also had breakfast added on for $45 per person, which was a lovely buffet. We’ll definitely be returning.

Not a great review sorry to say. We unfortunately had our stay while the prime minister of India was there! We weren’t made aware at any stage in the booking process that he would be there and that it would disrupt our weekend stay at this hotel. We got a phone call telling us we weren’t allowed to leave between 3-4.30pm we had to stay away from the lifts. Then just as we were about to walk out the door for our dinner reservation at 6pm the phone rung again !! We felt like we were being held hostage….. We should’ve been informed either when we booked or at least when we checked in that this was happening so that we could look around if we wanted to stay somewhere else. The amount of police presence and security made us feel insecure and anxious during our stay. Our taxis couldn’t get close to our hotel as it was blocked off or filled with undercover police We had to walk out on the street and wait for pick ups and drop offs The eight restaurant we booked was average to say the least. It didn’t have the kangaroo and the emu like we thought it was going to, not five star hotel food. We don’t believe it was worth $120 each to dine in here. The rooms weren’t overly clean and tidy. We couldn’t even see out our bedroom window, The room on our second day wasn’t made up. We didn’t get fresh towels until someone knocked on our door near 5 o’clock however the next day our room was made up as it should’ve been. Attached photo is under our bathroom sink. Overall an average stay which should’ve been a perfect weekend for us.

Loved our stay here. Great service and really lovely rooms. The window into the bathroom is definitely a choice. Enjoyed the in house resturant and their massive selection of breakfast foods. The herbal steam rooms by the roof top pool was my favourite part.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the hotel! Felt very special when our car doors were opened for us upon arrival, welcomed us and everything was very comfortable and clean. The food at Eight Restaurant was incredible and overall experience was just 10/10. Look forward to my next visit!
