Reviews for Abode Woden

Spacious and clean rooms. We stayed during the Easter break. It was an excellent experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable. The service was also excellent. For car parking, we have to use the public car parking right opposite to the hotel, but there is ample amount of parking space (paid parking in weeks days, but free on week ends). All the reception staff was very helpful . The kitchen is loaded with cutlery and utensils that we need for a simple cooking.Thank You team.

The hotel is great overall. They lost a star as they are going through renovations, but really, they are great hotel overall. The best part is that it's like an apartment with washing machines and a working kitchen.

Would have been better to have underground parking. Garbage collections from rooms with young children. Better access to room service However all other things are extremely positive. Rooms were very clean, updated furniture. Easy to use room and elevator cards.

Stayed a week. Nice basic rooms. Restaurant onsite is great for both dine in or room service. Downside would be the aircon temp can’t be controlled by you. It is set and controlled by Abode. Sometimes too hot or not warm enough. I did feel like my room lacked fresh air as there is no option of cracking a window even slightly. The shower didn’t have much pressure at all and the shower head was soo close to the wall that you couldn’t really get under it fully, especially when the vegan soap dispenser is right there in the way. Lastly. With no onsite or undercover parking we had to park across the road in a pay per use during the day car park. Max 4hrs at a time. Received a parking fine after leaving later than usual one morning. The car park itself is a future development site for 2026 so not sure where their customers will be able to park then.

If you have an occasion within Woden, this is an ideal location although if you have a car, getting around Canberra is not a problem. There is no onsite parking although there is a public car park right opposite - see photo of view from bedroom with charges during office hours weekdays but other times free; good if you are spending the weekend there. Front desk has one person, so you can wait for ages if the person front of you in the queue has an issue and you will have to wait. Rooms are clean and represents good value. Food delivery from downstairs restaurant beats the usual room service and is fast and represents good value.
