Abode Woden was a godsend. Hubby had emergency surgery at Canberra Hospital and was late being discharged. As we live several hours away, we needed something close to the hospital. The staff were fantastic. Understood my requirements (easy access to building via a ramp, room close to lift and low mobility room and bathroom). Would recommend for anyone on crutches. King bed was comfortable, quiet room with blackout blinds. 6 minutes from the hospital so perfect for post op recovery. Easy access bathroom with single level shower. Cafe on ground floor has good coffee and quick breakfast options. Car park opposite the hotel has free parking 5.30pm to 8.30am. Quiet street after hours to easy to stop out front with patients. Highly recommended.

Very good Customer service. Spacious room, clean, tidy and comfortable. Self contained 300metres walk to the Hellenic club. We'll definitely be back again soon to stay again

The rooms are spacious and offers facilities similar to an apartment, but it is in urgent need of renovations and improvements. I have stayed here numerous times for work. The washing machine door frequently jams, to the extent that the reception keeps a screwdriver on hand specifically to help open it. In my latest stay, I got stuck on the lifts twice. Luckily I had my mobile to call for help. The emergency number listed in the lift was not directly linked to the property and had issues with the comms system. They kept asking which hotel I was at and they could not hear my response even after shouting it numerous times. When I contacted reception, they seemed unprepared to handle the situation. It took about 30 minutes to resolve the issue. Once I was out, the staff didn’t even check to see if I was ok. I asked for the lifts to get checked for maintenance. Unfortunately, the next day, after the lifts supposedly got checked, I got stuck again.

I was very happy with my stay here. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were slightly too soft, but that's just due to my preference. The only other thing I would have liked is parking options, as if you were staying multiple nights and wanted to sleep in, you couldn't due to having to go down to pay for parking in morning. Other than that, I would stay here again for sure. Many thanks.

Have stayed here three times. First two times were great. Got a larger sized room. Hard to fault. Today though I am staying here for business. Check in at 1400, hoping to work in my room. Got a small room this time only to discover it doesn't have a table or desk. Actually, there's a small round table of sorts but it's less than knee high, in other words it is effectively useless. What too if I wanted to eat my meal in my room? No table for that either. Yes I'm in a small room this time but it's reasonable to assume it has a table or desk. This is really poor form by Abode. I'll think twice now about staying here again. The only reason I give it three stars is because of my previous two visits that were good.
