Check in was slow with only 2 people at the desk at 3.30pm. Our room control tablet said another persons name. We were supposed to get a welcoming bottle of champagne on arrival which didn’t arrive. I range reception at 5.15 to see where it was and they said it’s on its way. At 5.30 I went down to reception to find out what was going on and they glared at the screen and said it’s coming. 10minutes before our restaurant reservation the champagne arrived, the poor lady delivering it was flustered and you could tell they are pushing their staff too hard. No way could we enjoy any of the champagne in 10min and we ended we ended up taking it home. When we arrived at the epicurean we were greeted with no mention of our wedding anniversary ( when we booked it we were asked was this a special occasion and we filled in the information). They sat us next to 2 large tables with screaming kids running around. Hardly romantic!. We asked to move and they put us at different table only to come back 10minutes later saying our dining experience would be cut short by half an hour because they needed that table. We filled out an online survey they sent us post check out and said they would contact us. Well nothing a week later. Not our first time at the crown Towers but this will be our last. Save your money better hotels in Sydney than this one.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My stay at the Crown Hotel was an absolute nightmare in terms of safety, cleanliness, and guest services. As soon as we entered our room, we took off our shoes, only to have my partner step on a piece of glass embedded in the carpet, causing her to bleed. This is completely unacceptable, and it left us worried that there might be more glass hidden in the carpet. When we reported it, hotel staff didn’t even bother to come and properly sweep the room. The lack of cleanliness didn’t stop there. We found chocolate stains on the leather chair, further proof that the room was not properly cleaned before our arrival. Guest services were a hit or miss, you might get what you requested in 10 minutes or nothing for the rest of your stay. We waited 30 minutes for extra towels that never came causing us to nearly miss our reservation. To add insult to injury, they charge a $7 tray fee for bringing up basic items like cutlery. I’ve never seen anything like this at other hotels. Overall, this stay was a huge disappointment. I felt unsafe and uncared for, and the lack of hospitality and cleanliness is something no guest should have to endure. Avoid this place if you value your safety, comfort and money...

TLDR; Terrible service, not worth the price you pay!! My husband and I booked the Crown for the night of wedding and the next night as well. I had emailed when I booked to let them know it was a special night and all they could offer was a bottle of champagne for us. When we arrived at the Crown in my wedding dress and my husband in his tux, the reception staff didn’t even look up from the computer to greet or congratulate us. We were checked in and went up to our room to find we were given a standard room and not even the bottle of champagne they had promised. The room is nice but not worth $1k for the night. The only room didn’t even have Netflix or other streaming apps. The buffet breakfast at Epicurean was so average which is disappointing because the dinners I’ve been to at Epicurean have been excellent. The day before checkout I visited the front desk to say that it was our wedding night and there was no special care taken for a special occasion and was offered a late check out. After our check out, I received our invoice via email and had been charged $175 for mini bar food even though we didn’t touch anything in the minibar. I contacted them 8 times with guest services promising a response and call back and never received one. Over 5 weeks later I have finally received a refund. Disappointing. Will never stay again.

I recently stayed one night at the Sydney Crown Hotel on November 11, with an upgrade to a double bed room featuring a harbor view. The views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge were absolutely breathtaking, making the stay feel promising from the start. However, my experience was marred by several issues that I feel shouldn’t have occurred at a hotel of this caliber: 1. Room Service Charges: While I appreciated the convenience of in-room dining, I was surprised by an unexpected $7 delivery charge for the service. For the in-room dining, where the delivery of the order should be part of the experience, this fee seemed unnecessary and a total rip-off, especially without an option for self-collection. 2. Invoice Delays and Poor Follow-up: Despite confirming my expenses at check-out and signing off on them, I never received my invoice by email as promised. After waiting a full day, I inquired again at the front desk, only to be told that the charges needed to be audited by the night shift team, which would further delay my receipt. When I checked my email later at night on 11 Nov, still no invoice—though they had no trouble sending me a feedback form to rate my stay the next day 12 Nov, showing my email was indeed on file. I followed up again by phone on 12 Nov, where I had a frustrating interaction with a representative who did not communicate clearly and couldn’t seem to reach the reception team for assistance, but he did say he should be able to contact the reception team and get my invoice emailed through. I still haven’t received the invoice. How ridiculous is this! 3. Room Cleanliness: For a hotel that’s relatively new, I was disappointed by the room's condition. There were noticeable stains on the couch and even hair in the bathtub, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness and detail that should be standard in any high-end establishment. In summary, while the view was exceptional, the service inconsistencies and housekeeping issues overshadowed what should have been a flawless stay. I hope management addresses these shortcomings, as they impact the reputation of a hotel that should be defined by excellence in service and comfort, not these unnecessary frustrations.

Don't get a twin room, the view is terrible from that side of the building. Room was dirty. Customer service was poor. Perth crown 1000x better and half the price. Location 5* and pool/hot tub great.
