We made a spontaneous decision to stay the night. Staff were very professional. Rooms were beautiful. View stunning. Breakfast - a bit ordinary but what really threw us was that you have to PAY for coffee after the first "free" one. We were very surprised that this could be considered reasonable given the price of the room with the added breakfast. The charge was only $6 but that is not the point. We will stay again but only stay - not eat though.

This place is located in one of the most beautiful locations. I didn’t stay this time but visited a friend who was staying and her experience was exactly the same as my previous stays. The rooms aren't cleaned to a standard that is expected of such a prestigious hotel and the service is very lacking. I was going to have my daughters birthday celebrations with many of us wanting to stay there but after past experiences and lack of communication from Management I didn’t take the chance. After visiting my friends I'm glad we didn't proceed with those plans

We stayed at the Crown for 1 night fir my husbands birthday. The room was so pretty and comfortable. The view was gorgeous. The bathroom had great amenities including a large bathtub and a heated toilet. The room was so clean. The bed was very comfortable I slept without waking up. The technology was top notch and I was very warm. The breakfast in the epicurean had a great selection and the pool was very pretty. The staff were super friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. Well worth the expensive money.

A deeply disappointing experience — far from what you'd expect from a “luxury” hotel We booked a stay at Crown Sydney to celebrate a special birthday, expecting a peaceful, luxurious weekend. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a thoughtful surprise turned into a frustrating and exhausting experience. To be clear, we understand that early check-ins are not always possible — that’s completely fair. But arriving to find our room still not ready at 3:30pm, when check-in time was officially 3pm, was unacceptable. We were told to enjoy the area while we waited, which we did. Yet coming back and still not having a room ready felt careless. When we finally accessed our room, we had to wait over an hour for our luggage to be delivered. That meant we missed our chance to enjoy the pool — simply because we didn’t have our clothes with us. To make things worse, we had arranged a bottle of champagne to be in the room upon arrival as part of the celebration — a small detail that was meant to make the moment special. It was delivered four hours later, long after the occasion had passed. For a hotel that positions itself as one of Sydney’s finest, the lack of attention to detail, slow service, and disregard for guest experience was beyond disappointing. The price tag suggests 5-star quality — the reality was far from it. We rarely write negative reviews, but this one was earned. If you're looking to truly relax or celebrate something meaningful, we would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We stayed for three nights in an Opera room (one king room and one double queen beds). The rooms were awesome and luxurious with an amazing view of the bridge and opera house. Beds were comfortable and the rooms had all the modern facilities you could ask for, even a very smart toilet. Breakfast was a smorgasbord of western and Asian foods, all freshly made and delicious. Understandably there were some busy periods at breakfast, but there wasn’t a long wait time. Staff were super helpful and cleared your plates quickly. I don’t know why there are negative reviews about the staff or waiting in line for breakfast or the amount of tea/coffee. There was every type of food on offer and all of the best quality. Even free newspapers! Room service also had an extensive selection and was excellent in taste and presentation. The pool and spa although not large in size had a fantastic view and a lifeguard on duty. There were a few glitches with our room keys but the reception staff were all willing to assist with a smile. Check-in and checkout was busy but that’s to be expected at any hotel. There were many lovely restaurants along the water and all within walking distance. The ferries were a few minutes away so it was easy to hop on one to get to various spots of interest. Highly recommend Crown if you’re looking to be spoilt.
