Reviews for Holiday Inn Sydney Airport

Hotel is fairly nice. Convenient to the airport, front desk very helpful and friendly. Rooms are reasonable and don't get much noise from the outside. However, a hotel experience begins when leaving the terminal at the airport and the property chooses to use Sydney super shuttle - advise looking them up on Google maps and read their reviews. The shuttle never showed up and when I called the hotel they said super shuttle told them they did come by which is false. I even took pictures to verify I was was the right spot which I was 15 minutes before the schedule shows them getting there. The hotel recommended taking a taxi and they didn't want to take the fare because it was so close to the airport. I believe it took me about 1.5 hours to get to the hotel. The hotel using this company really demonstrates they don't value those staying until they arrive at their front door which is poor customer service.

We needed a place to crash between arriving from LAX at 8am and leaving for Melbourne at 7pm. This hotel offers day stays (9am-5pm) and they did not disappoint in any way. From the moment you walk in until the second you leave, you feel important and welcomed. Other than the airport, this was our first impression of Australia. Stellar! After a quick rinse and nap, we ventured to the lobby bar (Biggles) for a bite and a pint. Our server was super cheerful and after a 14-hour+ cattle-car plane trek, she was an amazing breath of fresh air. Her exuberance gave us a boost. We had some steak chips to snack on and they were as perfect as French fried taters could be. The desk staff were polite and attentive. Our room was super clean and comfortable. We like it here so much that we canceled our return Sydney hotel and reserved a room here instead.

Conveniently situated beside the Sydney airport, the Holiday Inn is located opposite the Qantas Corporate Office , a 5 min walk from the Mascot train station and Woolworth supermarket, plus a 5 min drive from a nearby gas station. The rooms were clean and the reception were kind and efficient. The breakfast that was included to our room charges has a great variety of pastries, meat, and fruits. You can get a omelette by telling the chef which ingredients you want inside , and he/she will make it on the spot. Although they no longer provide disposable sandals in the room so we had to phone the housekeeping to get them, overall I enjoyed my stay here. Would recommend this place for those that are looking for affordable accommodation in Sydney.

I have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions. The rooms are very very spacious and well appointed and the external soundproofing in terms of plane noise is quite good. The problem is the soundproofing between rooms. You can hear everything in the room next door. For me this is a problem. The hotel needs to improve their between room soundproofing. The location is great - quite handy to locations in Sydney and of course right near the airport. There are also some issues with the layout of the car park underneath the hotel. They need to have it remarked.

I had a 2 day stay at this place during my visit to Sydney and overall it was a pleasant experience. The hotel staff allowed us early checkin, the rooms were spacious enough with good amenities. The location is also great, a 5min walk from the nearest metro station and has plethora of dining options nearby.
