We had such a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is amazing and getting into darling harbour is so easy. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. We had a mobility scooter and the staff were able to cloak it for us and allow us to get it out whenever we needed to go out and about. Nothing was an issue for them. The room was awesome, view of darling harbour that the new drone light show was able to be seen from. The buffet breakfast is great and after a massive day we got room service for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meals, so many options. I don’t normally write reviews but the staff were so kind and helpful that I just felt like I needed to.

My wife and I stayed 8-nights for touring around Sydney, and for her running the Marathon on the final day. Our room was perfect and housecleaning was attentive and thorough. Location was convenient for all public transportation, and there also all we wanted (food, shopping) within walking distance. The buffet breakfasts at Park Royal Darling Harbour were exceptional variety-wise and for freshness. Coffee was excellent. We especially enjoyed the friendliness and attentiveness of our breakfast host, Johnny. We will be back

Whilst I have not stayed personally I have 5 of my employees booked in for next week and noticed this checking clause..."Please note that a security deposit is required upon check-in. The deposit will be to the value of the number of night's room rate plus $100 per night. After settlement of your bill, any remaining funds should be returned between 5-10 working days." Noting that the rooms are already pre-paid by the company, why must you take deposits/room rates and then take 5-10 days to return it. This is an impost on our emlpoyees and rather unecessary. Your happy to take the payment instantly, but require up to 10 days to return the funds. I will be very keen to get my teams feedback, but this alone would make me reconsider using the hotel in the future.

Do not stay here! I’ll start with the good – it was clean and just a short walk to Darling Harbour. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This is barely 3-star, let alone 4-star accommodation. I booked a Club Room with the promise of a premium experience including Darling Harbour views, a well-appointed room, buffet breakfast, and twilight drinks and canapes in the Club Lounge. Instead, I got a view of a busy highway, a very unimpressive room missing everything that you'd expect of a club room in a 4-star hotel. There was no minibar - just an empty fridge. Not even bottled water (instead, you carry a jug down the hall to a communal filter). I completely get the sustainability sentiment. But why wouldn't you have a filter in each room! The shower itself had a fixed waist-high head, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable and you had to call room service every time you wanted a single-use tube of even the most basic of amenities such as conditioner. In addition, when I attempted to access the Club Lounge I was declined entry and sent to reception where I was told that lounge access required an additional $113, even though it was listed as an inclusion of my booking! Breakfast was disappointing and basic – cornflakes, cold curdled scrambled eggs, and coffee orders that never arrived. And when I tried to order from their late room-service menu, the only option available was a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. For the price and the promises made, this hotel was a complete let-down. I will not be returning.
