Good location in the cbd. Welcomed by a lovely man in a top hat, who is very personable. Rooms are big, comfortable beds and pillows. More like a business hotel than a luxury one but nice all the same. It has a pool, spa, wellness with massage, sauna and a good gym. A bar and restaurant on site. Easy check in and friendly staff.

This hotel is wonderful. Went with a toddler and they gave him toys and chocolate at check in. They have fresh fruit, nice water that doesn't taste like chlorine and they have tons of recommendations and great coffee. The swimming pool is heated which is brilliant. The staff are helpful and carried the stroller up and down the stairs for me. Love it here.

Rooms are spacious enough, with complimentary bath robes that are typical of most 5 star hotels. Major qualm is how close the bathroom is to the bed. There is no exhaust fan for the bathroom, therefore be forewarned if travelling as a couple for the olfactory overload. On other things, the gym is functional for what you need and the service down stairs is affable with warm greetings each morning. The hotel lobby bar needs a slight update, not the kind of bar I would be getting my cocktails from. Just lacks warmth and even cleanliness. The building itself is a historical masterpiece that used to be the original paper printing headquarters and then transitioned to a bank.

Attended a work conference over a couple of days. Morning Tea was a disappointment fruit cake and dumplings on one day. Then we had a gala event and absolutely disgusted with what they bought out as the vegetarian option for the person next me. The lamb was dry and no taste. For the price that was paid you need to revisit your menus, bottled water was warm. The only positive thing is the staff were lovely when we walked in and out.

Good hotel. Entry to hotel has steps, need staff to help with bags. Concierge services good, willing to help. Reception staff good, efficient. Nice touch fruit at the counter. Used FAX bar for most meals. I think most staff are new , except for one. I think he's name was Chosep, from the Philippines. Very good, efficient, friendly and pro- active. One in particular seems unsure of what to do, maybe need more training. ( Male) Stood around when used plates were still on the table even after customers have finished. One lady even took her used glasses back to the bar for refill. Water was never offered with meals. A good rule of thumb for waiters is don't walk back to work station empty handed if you pass tables with used plates. It saves time later and there's less cluttered to clear closing.
