A wonderful dining experience with an unbeatable view! I had dinner at Luna Lu and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect — you can see both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House right from your table, making it a truly special setting. I ordered two mains from the vegetarian section: the Moo Shu Mock Chicken and the Luna Asian Salad. The salad was fresh and vibrant, topped with beautifully sliced avocado and a flavorful peanut-based dressing. The mock chicken was outstanding — tender, savory, and reminded me of General Tso’s chicken, but milder and more refined. It’s so rare to find a soy-based dish this well prepared! I paired my meal with green tea and sparkling water, which complemented everything perfectly. Service was attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere struck just the right balance of classy and relaxed. It’s a great spot for celebrations — I noticed several birthday groups around, all enjoying the lively yet elegant vibe. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality, presentation, and unbeatable location. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sydney or looking for a memorable night out!

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a 13th birthday at Luna Lu in Sydney, and it was a memorable experience! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was warm and inviting, with great views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House despite the huge cruise ship near the opera house blocking a bit of the view, but it added to the experience. The food was a highlight of the day — delicious, beautifully presented, and as tasty. We ordered a range of share plates, including the vibrant purple dumplings, pork belly bao buns, candied seafood fried rice, and the sweet yuzu chicken. Lovely Asian fusion flavours & colours . To top it all off, we had the opera house themed cake for dessert, which was as delightful to look at as it was to eat. The birthday girl was absolutely thrilled with the food and the overall experience, which really made the day stand out. It was a hot day, and while most of the shaded tables were booked (we had reserved ours a week in advance), our waiter went above and beyond. Our waiter (sorry don’t remember his name but he was a very tall man with an European accent, thank you for your service) who was very friendly and accommodating, quickly arranged a large umbrella for us pushing it all the way to our table and some how made it fit ensuring we had the perfect shade while we enjoyed our meal. He ensured that we were in the shade as he checked on the umbrella moving it from time to time. His service at Luna Lu was top-notch, making the experience even more enjoyable. The combination of great food, attentive service, and awesome harbour views made it a perfect celebration. Highly recommend Luna Lu for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a beautiful location with a welcoming atmosphere.

I had my birthday dinner here & had a great time. All the staff i spoke to were all so sweet even if it is just customer service- they were very attentive especially the asian male waiter (i should’ve asked for the name), he noticed and provided my group with extra spoons without asking. I ordered the Seafood Candied Fried Rice, Wagyu beef egg noodles, Luna duck salad and a mocktail. The Seafood Candied Fried rice is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes for a reason, my group absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend! Everything else was also very delicious, I’d definitely come back to try other dishes next time. There was a complimentary dessert due to the occasion of my birthday, and I appreciated the welcoming hospitality.

the food was honestly so good, especially the scallops and the kingfish tuna! the drinks were wonderful, service was nice, and the view of the opera house is beautiful too. if you ever get the chance, definitely come for a meal!

I was in town with my colleague for a conference. We stayed at a hotel near the Opera, and the weather was so wet all the time that we needed to find a restaurant around the block. We found this Luna Lu by chance, and man, it was so good! The food was delicious. We ordered a set menu for 2 people, and everything tasted excellent with the reasonable amount. Wagyu beef and the pork ribs were the highlight of the night. Also make sure you order fried rice while you dine here; it's on another level. And needless to say, the restaurant has the best location when you can literally see the Opera on the right and the Bridge on the left of you all the time. The staff was also friendly. Great place overall.
