We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday and were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The food was exceptional each dish prepared to perfection. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was seamless and efficient. Flo deserves special recognition for his attentiveness and excellent recommendations throughout the evening. Her professionalism and warm demeanor ensured we felt well looked after. On the beverage side, Kenny showcased extensive knowledge and provided a remarkable selection of options, particularly with whisky. We highly recommend trying the Alisa Bay it’s a standout choice. Overall, the evening exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly recommend this venue for its outstanding food, drinks, and service.

My wife and I were walking the harbor area and came across Luna Lu. We ordered the MB9 Rump Waygu and it was one of the best pieces of steak we have had. My wife got the Waygu Noodles and the rice noodles with the meat were delicious. Lastly the fried ice cream was great (thanks to Hugo for the great rec). The food was very flavorful and great quality. It was a little pricey but it was worth it! Our server Hugo was very friendly and attentive as well. And to top it all off we had an amazing conversation with Kenny! Highly recommend!

My feeling was so disappointed after dining at Luna Lu recently. The experience fell far short of expectations, especially given the restaurant’s premium positioning and high price point. To start, the Steak was sliced far too thin, which compromised both its taste and texture. The presentation of the dishes felt rushed and lacked the refinement expected from a high-end establishment. The Peking duck was overcooked, leaving it dry and unappetizing. The seafood fried rice was another disappointment—it was overly mushy, resembling porridge, and the seafood lacked freshness. The prawn toast also fell short; it lacked flavor, visual appeal, and the attention to detail necessary to stand out. The salmon was just average and slightly overcooked, paired with a sauce that was bland and failed to enhance the dish. Overall, the quality of both the food and the service did not justify the price tag or the restaurant’s upscale image. This experience felt like poor value for money, and I left deeply disappointed. Luna Lu has significant room for improvement if it hopes to live up to its reputation in Sydney’s dining scene !

Incredible views and atmosphere over lunch. With the only downside that there was a cruise ship blocking half of the opera house 4 days a week from morning til around 5pm. So the tip from the restaurant staff is to come from 6pm if you want unobstructed views. Service was impeccable too. The only thing we’d critique is the Asian Salad as we found it rather basic in comparison to thier other dishes. Chopped up salad that was overloaded with Japanese roasted sesame kewpie sauce making it rather too salty. Otherwise all dishes receive our 5 stars. Do not miss the the duck and beef ribs !!

Me and boyfriend ordered candied seafood fried rice, tooth fish and beef ribs. We like the beef rib is tender inside and crispy outside. The sauce matches the taste of beef very well. The fish is juicy. The beetroot fried rice tastes special and the amount of seafood, scallops and prawns is generous. All the food tastes healthy and flavourful. Definitely we’ll come back for the dishes we haven’t tried. The staff are friendly and the environment is clean and nice. The sea view is amazing.
