Short Courses Venue at University of Technology Sydney

This modern 240-seat lecture theatre is located in UTS` Frank Gehry designed building. The room has in built AV capabilities to accommodate presentations, workshops and streaming. There are several breakout options located within this building that can be used for catering, trade stands, and breakout sessions.

Our Collaborative theatre is conveniently located along Broadway on UTS` main city campus. We are located close to Central Station, Darling Harbour and China Town. This high-tech 226 seat theatre offers an ideal space for conferences, lectures, presentations and events. The tiered theatre comes with plenty of desk space for each attendee, to allow for notebooks or laptops. This theatre has a small foyer space allowing for registration or catering tables. Also located within this building is another large theatre and a variety of breakout classrooms.

The University of Technology Sydney is conveniently located close the Central Station, Darling Harbour and China Town. The Guthrie Theatre is the University’s largest tiered theatre, seating 330 people. This theatre comes with a stage, in-built audio-visual equipment, and lighting. The Guthrie Theatre has a variety of breakout rooms nearby, with another 2 lecture theatres and a variety of classrooms all located within the building, and a foyer space that allows for registrations and catering.

University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is conveniently located within walking distance of Central Station, Darling Harbour and Haymarket. The 54 seat oval classroom offers a unique space for your next meeting or event. This room has two levels of circular seating with a presenter lectern located in the middle. The room has projector screens located around the room to allow viewing from any seat in the space. Located in our Gehry designed building this space has direct access from the Ultimo Goods Line, and plenty of space to set-up registrations and catering tables.

Located in the Sydney CBD, the Great Hall offers a variety of event options for your next event. The Great Hall is UTS’ largest venue which has been designed to recreate a warm and dramatic cathedral-like space. The Hall is used as the main venue on campus for graduations and orientations. As the space is a flat floored venue it will also work well with a range of different event types including conferences, exhibitions, round tables, dinners and cocktail functions. There is access to some breakout rooms in neighbouring buildings, which have a variety of different room types, such as classroom, theatre or collaborative. The Great Hall has an adjoining Balcony Room which compliments bookings in the Great Hall. This open room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Alumni Green is a great space for breakouts, catering, exhibition or trade stands. The large foyer space outside the Great Hall and Balcony Room also allows an ample amount of space to set-up registrations, catering or stands.

University of Technology Sydney is located in the heart of Sydney, close to Central Station and Darling Harbour. Our seminar rooms are designed for flexible configuration, with flat floors and movable furniture to support both group-based activities and a more traditional classroom setting. Our classrooms feature contemporary technology, such as ‘Fixed AV Smart’ lecterns with touchscreens that include built-in computer, data projector, document camera and projector screens.

This Green Theatre seats 185 people in a tiered lecture style. This theatre is completely green – floor, walls and ceiling with quirky ‘beaker’ lighting. The colour green is said to set the mood for a relaxed learning environment. The theatre comes with an inbuilt lectern system which gives you access to the in-room computer, data projector, screen and speakers.
