Reviews for Mantra Pandanas

Average and very basic hotel. We had a deluxe suit on level 17. Views if all the roof tops. Comfortable, but definitely nothing fancy. Pool is poor. 2 Loungers for the entire hotel and the pool is very old and dated. Infinity area overlooking dirty rooftops. Fitness area advertised is non existent. Some of the reception staff are quite rude, however, most are helpful.

Very tired property. Holes in carpet. Worn skirting boards. Shower door sounded like it would shatter every time I moved it. Reported it on Monday and on Thursday morning (just prior to check out I was offered a different room). Carpet in hall no longer attached. Fire alarm late in the evening. I'd strongly suggest avoiding either Mantra property in Darwin.

The photos on the website are definitely misleading. I opened my door and the first thing I saw was the mold growing on the carpet, the drenched floor and the smell. The fire alarms go off at least once a day and any hour of the night. There was one point of the stay where the people next door were being disruptive, I called the front desk at midnight to advise them as I had to be awake at 5am, no answer. So when I told the staff the next day, they asked why I didn't call so I showed them my phone log. Just got a simple "oh..." then put the onus back to me as if I wasn't trying to sleep because I had an early rise the next day. To add, the shower water doesn't get hot and the air conditioner doesn't get cold. If you like really puffy pillows, you'll be alright. If you need a flat pillow I recommend getting one for $10 at big w. Don't use the decor pillows on the bed, they smell really bad.

A hotel with great potential The restaurant breakfast is run of the mill not bad but not good either. I ordered lunch in arrival and that was horrible. Steak sandwich was pulled beef and qas slimy the Grandchildren refused to eat it after the first bite. I ordered the Snapper omg rubber not hot the polenta cakes eith itcwere soggy and luke warm. And the Laksa sauce just completed unduited to the dish. No table service for meals in a 4 star hotel??? I asked to move from a 2 bedroom apartment to a studio and did yhis firstvup in the morning and said i would be back at 2pm and I would move my already packed items then. I also checked that the room would be ready as I was travelling with a 2, 5 and 6 yr old. When I arrived back the room wasnt ready I waited an hour to be taken to the exactly same 2 bedroom on a different floor. By this time the kids ere all tired snd upset. 45 minutes later I was finally given thecroom requested snd then waited a further 25 minutes for our luggage. Danielle one of the Managerscqas the only staff member that tried to help.Staff have limited cimprehension of whatvuou ask for and require training desperately. When I left i was then overcharged from the mini bar and had to call back for a refund of an $83. Seriously needs some Hospitality training forxstaff and a good look at the Chefs drilled and menu. The foyer is beautiful and the front Entrance has only steps no ramë.

Right in the heart of the city, walking distance to e everything you need - supermarket, post office, great little cafes, the mall. It's clean, neat and tidy. The elevators work nicely and the rooms are cosy - we have stayed here a few times over the years and tried a few different rooms, so far they have all come with washing machines and driers and kitchenettes with fridge and microwave. There is secure parking on site (extra charge).
