Excellent stay on this hotel. Staff service is exceptional making us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Ultra clean rooms and bathroom. The bar has very good selection of drinks and excellent wine list. The valet parking team deserve an honourable mention for their service and welcoming culture. Perfect location near the riverside restaurants and bars.

Can I just start by saying we will be back. Amazing hotel with amazing staff and terrific rooms.Ours looked over the story bridge. We even had a surprise cake and complimentary champagne with a lovely young lady that sang happy birthday to my beautiful wife of over 20 years marriage❤️. Only issue really was when going to bed late after a lovely night on the town was that the cleaning staff completely forgot to fit “flat sheets” ( the sheet that goes over you between you and the quilt) on our bed and also our sons bed. Really unacceptable when staying at a hotel of this quality. Beds could be a little softer but the lack of flat sheet made for a unsatisfying lack of detail. I mentioned this the next day and the nice lady from reception really had no idea how such a thing could occur. Agreed. The pool was nice and so were the amenities. Great location, we will return.

Stayed 7 days. Family of 4. Found the location really good under 500m walk down to the Riverside ferry terminal. Under 1km walk to the shops and store Queen street. In regards the room decent enough for a family of 4. 2 queen size beds good for small children to sleep in a the queen. House keeping started well but near the end of our stay the housekeeper decided to throw some belongings that were not clearly throwable items. Wife was furious, luckily in discussion with the PM manager who reviewed the video footage they were able to track the items luckily items were still in the bags they were in. For the inconvenience we did get complimentary breakfast on our last morning. With the housing keeping we had daily housing keeping except the last 2 nights of our stay, and there was days where we had only 2 or 3 towels given I think the first few days they got it right, but the last days no good tea cups not cleaned, it was inconsistent. I guess it depends on who is working on the day. But when you stay in a 5 star 🏨 you expect housing keeping to be good. The pool was great for the first few days but by the end coming off public holiday the pool and spa turned green especially the spa water was super low and green, the pool developed an murky green tinge colour. These are signs on not great pool keeping either the filtration is not working, algae development which is not safe to swim in. You would think there should be someone or a company testing the pool low chlorine level, bacteria, pH, wife notified reception. Overall I didn’t mind staying here, like the gym was used well and great views of the bridge, it’s good location and close walk to the shops the housekeeping just let us down. Ordered in room dining and the service and food were great. Complimentary Breakfast was great can’t fault it service there great. Evening manger who found our items was very helpful. The staff at the valet parking were great always there to assist and open the car. Great location just housekeeping need to be mindful of items are near the bins I guess there there to throw if items are with place near bags, don’t touch.

Marriott is very well represented in Brisbane with five properties. I have stayed at and enjoyed them all. and each hotel offers something different. This year I’ve had a number of stays at this older, refurbished, and exceptionally well run hotel. The service is always friendly, professional and welcoming, and accommodation and public areas beautifully presented and absolutely spotless. Accommodation has been thoughtfully refurbished to ensure maximum comfort, and all rooms have a bath (the top of my list for hotel stays) which sadly (for me) is not the case with many of the more modern hotels. Location is particularly good for accessing the Brisbane River Boardwalk for walking or cycling, and the very popular Howard Smith Wharves precinct. There is a bus stop out the front which will quickly get you down into the central city area and across to Southbank; alternatively it’s a leisurely 10-15 minute walk (20 mins if heading to Southbank). I was proud to work for Sheraton/Starwood/Marriott during a long career in hospitality and I love hotel stays and returning to Marriott properties whenever I am travelling. Without exception I always feel “at home” no matter whether here in Australia or overseas, and I look forward to staying at Brisbane Marriott again and again in the future.
