I originally shared my disappointment about the $40 per day car park charge, that I wasn’t aware of until I called and asked about parking. This information can’t be found on the website and wasn’t made known to me at the time of booking. I found this disappointing because the nightly charge is high enough that I’d expect a car park to be included. That being said, our 2 night stay was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They surprised us with a room upgrade, chocolates and balloons for our anniversary/babymoon celebration. The rooms are spectacular, the automatic curtains, hide-able TV, comfortable beds made it feel super lux. Everything was clean too. While the pool area can be a bit windy, I can see they’re currently working on a solution. The magnesium plunge pools were our favourite. The cafe downstairs was fantastic, they sell Allpress coffee, the pastries are freshly made in house and the breakfast was super flavourful and yummy (we got the avocado toast and the meatballs). I’d love to stay here again, perfect spot for a weekend away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mondrian Gold Coast! From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. A special thank you to the Manager, Nick, who was incredibly accommodating and handled our room arrangements with professionalism and ease — he is truly an asset to the hotel. All the staff were friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. The rooms have a beautiful Mediterranean vibe, are spotless, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. We dined at both Lido and Haven — both restaurants were fantastic and highly recommended. The pool area is lovely, though it does lose the sun around 12:30 PM and can get a bit windy in the afternoon, which was a slight downside. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return!

Upon arriving we learned very Quickly this place has a real Party Vibe!! It was a very busy check in time, so there was lots of people standing around waiting to check in which interfered with People accessing the lifts! We paid $1000 per night to look straight across at another building so we felt we had to have the curtains closed all the time! For that money I expected to be looking at the water!! Friendly Staff ✅ Great facility✅ but the TV in our bedroom didn’t work, the in Room phone didn’t work, we wanted to change our pillows so we ended up calling from our mobile through to reception only to be told there was no pillow options left? You guys call yourself a 5 Star Hotel?? I’d would love to know how you obtained that rating?? You have a Wood fired oven with no Pizzas on the menu? We ordered uber eats pizza in! & while standing on the driveway waiting for our order to arrive noticed how many other food orders were coming in from outside! That says a lot about your menu?? I hope it gets better because it is a great venue!!

Just Stayed at the Mondrian Gold Coast, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The service was truly world-class every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and valued as guests. From the seamless check-in to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, the team’s professionalism and genuine warmth made all the difference. The rooms are absolutely stunning, HUGE compared to all others i have stayed in, modern, and designed with comfort in mind. The beds were a DREAM best sleep i have had in my life, the bathrooms luxurious, and the views over Burleigh Heads and the ocean were simply breathtaking. Everything felt fresh, immaculate, and beautifully styled, striking the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. This hotel clearly sets a new benchmark for service and accommodation on the Gold Coast. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and elevated stay – we’ll definitely be returning!

Our long weekend at the Mondrian began with a surprising lack of five-star polish. The shortcomings were apparent from our arrival; there was no greeting, and the check-in area is shockingly small and chaotically located. Once in our room, the mixed experience continued. While our 'XL' room felt compact, the incredible views and luxurious touches like automated blackout blinds were genuinely impressive. However, the hotel's public spaces failed to live up to this standard. The lifts were consistently slow, and the main disappointment was the pool area. Our primary issue was being informed only upon check-in that the pool would be closed to families for an over-18s event, a major failure in communication. Beyond this event, the pool deck itself is fundamentally flawed. It is far too small for a hotel of this size, with a very limited number of sunbeds. Compounding this issue is the fact that surrounding buildings block all direct sun from around 11:30 AM. Even in spring, this creates a frantic rush for the few prime spots in the morning; one can only imagine the competition in peak summer. Smaller details also fell short: a request for specific pillows could not be fulfilled, and the breakfast menu was limited and repetitive. On a high note, the spa was a lovely experience. Overall, while the Mondrian offers moments of luxury, its significant design flaws and inconsistent service prevent it from delivering a true five-star experience, the hotel definitely has teething issues and hopefully irons out soon considering the amount you pay.
