Good service when checking in they give you a drink on arrival. They could improve on service around the pool and bar area, it wasn't busy and the staff were just chatting and they forgot our drinks a few times. Haven restaurant was amazing food! Tip would be to buy your own filtered water outside of the hotel as it's $13 1litre bottle. Room was beautiful!- I would think they would have nice luxury towels though being 5 star hotel, the towels are quite gross! They feel very old and aren't that white..

I recently stayed at the Mondrian Gold Coast and it’s definitely a place with some contrasts. The hotel itself is stunning, modern, super Instagrammable, and my suite was absolutely beautiful with brand new furnishings and a great view. However the service really fell short. I have to be honest: the front desk staff although they were very good looking people, just didn’t seem to have any inclination to actually help. There was a lot of attitude and not much genuine service. The management needs to seriously looks into proper training. There are already a lot of negative reviews out there, and I can see why. In short, you’re not paying for just a pretty hotel or staff looks, you’re paying for a full experience, and the service part really needs improvement. Hopefully, they’ll step it up in the future!

From the moment I arrived at the Mondrian, I knew this wasn’t a typical Gold Coast hotel. Georgia greeted me at check in and was an absolute standout. Warm, genuine, and instantly welcoming. She read the situation perfectly and set the tone for the whole stay. Nick, who I believe is the manager, was just as impressive. He offered to take my bag upstairs which usually means I’ll see it an hour later, but instead he personally escorted me to my room and gave me a tour. He treated the place like he owned it, with real pride and care, which is rare to find. I stayed in a quarter suite and it was exceptional. Beautifully designed, immaculate, with one of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. The view over Burleigh Heads was stunning. The in room tech was simple and useful, and room service arrived hot and fast which almost never happens in hotels. The bathroom layout was clever with proper privacy, great lighting, quality amenities, and a hairdryer that actually works. The pool area is lovely in the morning although it loses sun early, but that’s the Gold Coast. The restaurant options were excellent and the whole property feels fresh, stylish, and thoughtfully run. I have very high expectations when I travel and this hotel exceeded every one of them. I’ve stayed at Raes Penthouse Two and at The Calile in Brisbane many times, and this was better. I arrived ready to find faults and left wanting to come back. The Gold Coast finally has a hotel that gets it right.

I originally shared my disappointment about the $40 per day car park charge, that I wasn’t aware of until I called and asked about parking. This information can’t be found on the website and wasn’t made known to me at the time of booking. I found this disappointing because the nightly charge is high enough that I’d expect a car park to be included. That being said, our 2 night stay was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They surprised us with a room upgrade, chocolates and balloons for our anniversary/babymoon celebration. The rooms are spectacular, the automatic curtains, hide-able TV, comfortable beds made it feel super lux. Everything was clean too. While the pool area can be a bit windy, I can see they’re currently working on a solution. The magnesium plunge pools were our favourite. The cafe downstairs was fantastic, they sell Allpress coffee, the pastries are freshly made in house and the breakfast was super flavourful and yummy (we got the avocado toast and the meatballs). I’d love to stay here again, perfect spot for a weekend away.

I’m currently staying at the Mondrian and booked 4 nights. I leave tomorrow. I was very cautious as some of the reviews were very mixed prior to arriving. It’s a new hotel and it will have teething problems. I honestly cannot fault it. The staff are absolutely excellent! Accommodating, kind, welcoming, nothing is too much trouble at all! The food has been excellent, but the show stopper is the room and the location. The rooms are stunning, spotless and the location is to die for! Nowhere else could beat that in Burleigh. Yes the reception area is tiny and cramped, the lifts painfully slow, the gym is small but that is it. It’s otherwise wonderful.
