Let me paint you a picture. You are served on arrival by an amazing waitress who sits you under a beautiful tree on a summers day looking over the incredible vineyard at Bianchet. After ordering your first drinks, you are told the chef had just come back from sourcing fresh local produce. Which leads to you being delighted to taste the delicate flavours of your Kingfish and Beetroot appetisers. The team at Bianchet have done an incredible job providing a wonderful experience in the Yarra Valley. It is clear that their food and produce are treated with upmost respect and care. Thanks to the team for having us, can't wait to visit again soon!

We are old patrons of Bianchet from a few years ago, must have been previous owners. We thought, based on some recent reviews that it would be worth a return visit. Big mistake as it turns out. Much to our dismay it was well below standard. Unkempt grounds and outdoor dining area. The main glassed entrance was covered in dust and spiderwebs and the door mat and surrounds was covered in bird droppings. Quite unbelievable considering this is a winery in the coveted Yarra Valley region. Honestly it was clear that it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long while. I booked a table outside for the views, more spider webs, chipped paintwork, knee high weeds, a broken tree limb left hanging - and bear in mind this is a winery ! The young wait staff were pleasant, the food was fairly average. Overall experience? I wish we’d turned away because even the front sign and driveway upon arrival were an instant give away of a winery neglected but we had to commit because we booked through OpenTable and they have a strict cancellation policy and your credit card details. Not sure who the current owners /managers are but I doubt they are new to the game because even a novice would clean up the establishment and surrounds before opening their doors.

Sep 2022: Amazing cute dining room with floor to ceiling glass and excellent views. All the food was excellent. Quail, steak, Murray cod. And the wine. Would have stayed longer if didn't have to drive and stop drinking! Note: the quaik stater had massive raisins / sultanas in it which I don't like. Didn't say it on the menu (I think - unless they have a different name I don't know of). Not enough to lose a star but the menu should list all ingredients.

Thanks to Sara for all your help and guidance planning my 60ty birthday celebration. Everyone on the day had the best time. The food was fantastic (thank you to the Chef and entire kitchen team) The drinks were also very well received by all attendees - great quality across the board. A huge special thanks to the three ladies working front of house for the day. They were awesome, very attentive, thoughtful and always had a smile on their face. We really appreciate all the hard work, and will recommend Bianchet to all our family and friends.
