Rooms were very ordinary in my opinion. Location was great, close to Crown Casino, if that's your thing. No mini bar, pump bottles for shampoo and conditioner as well as body wash. It had a 4 star rating, I would give it 2 stars

Very centrally located in Queen Street in Melbourne, free tram access to Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Spacious rooms (I booked room with balcony) and warm service offered by staff: I had to amend my booking at check-in time and the staff was happy to oblige. Restaurant attached to the property for BF, Drinks and Food. Good house-keeping, however would have liked the used glasses to be cleaned. Would recommend to others for facilities, location, room size and staff.

Centrally located with big size rooms. We stayed for a week in the two bedroom apartment. Overall we recommend this hotel and recommend to email them for communication as Agoda messages hardly get through to them What we love: - location is amazing - rooms are big - rooms have washer and dryer built in - good service. Toby and the team were really helpful throughout the stay What could be better - the kitchen is very outdated - the pots are rusty and also have scratches on them causing it to burn the food easily - kettles are not in good shape, we bought one from Kmart ourselves - the high chairs for kids are very dirty and old

- The lobby is rather nice but our first impressions of floor 20/21 was that the carpets were filthy - debris all over them - the first day we came back after housekeeping had been my daughter's jewellery had been strewn all across one of the single beds - the penthouse apartment is more like a loft - upstairs bedrooms were tiny with such low ceilings. As a result they were extremely dark and the lighting in them was poor (presumably because you're relying on lamps and not ceiling lights) - the cupboards in the rooms were even darker and it was impossible to see any of our items inside without a torch light. A simple strip of wardrobe lighting and brighter lamps would fix this issue. - the staircase leading upstairs had an extra length of wooden plinth at the bottom (just bad design) which constantly tripped us all up. The last stair in a staircase should not have anything jutting out at the sides because it doesn't make any design sense whatsoever. They were also highly polished to the point where they were slippery - I wouldn't recommend for families with younger kids. (Ours are 12 and 10) - the dining chairs and sofa all had some degree of staining on them. - for a place like this the TV really should be a smart TV in this day and age. - the duvet/comforter was not covered properly with a designated duvet cover, they just use a flat sheet on top and bottom so the duvet often gets exposed which doesn't feel very hygienic - the shower cubicle had a mouldy ceiling above it, the grouting was also blackened with mould, the bathrooms were very small and the sinks were also not particularly functional with the taps to just one side (fine for handwashing, not much use for face washing etc.) - the rails in the bathroom are square and extremely sharp. I know you're trying to do the whole modern thing but in a bathroom of that size, people are going to scratch and hurt themselves on more than one occasion on those sharp edges. When you don't have room, make it functional first, stylish second. The second bathroom had a bathtub shower but the bath tap (also sharp and square) was jutting out in the middle of the bath - meaning we had a few knee scrapes while trying to shower in there. I generally don't complain about design but when something becomes awkward/difficult/a hazard to use and you notice that it's a common theme throughout the apartment it's difficult to ignore and it makes you wonder who they hired to fit the place out. I'd laugh if I hadn't spent thousands of dollars. - THE biggest issue for us however was the noise from the air con/heater. I'd say around 70% of the time we were there it made a noise similar to that of a washing machine. Really, REALLY loud. On the first day I thought it may have been just getting fired up as the place was 16 degrees inside so thought it was just working harder than usual to get the place warm. On the second day my husband showed the reception staff videos of how loud it was and we were promised that someone from maintenance would fix it. By the 3rd day it was still the same, we weren't given any updates about whether someone had come to have a look or if anything was going to be done. Around now, the constant rattling noise was starting to get me down so I had started to spend most of my time upstairs (in a tiny dark bedroom with low ceilings even though I'd paid thousands for a penthouse.) I decided to send an email to Adina's customer service and we got a phone call from reception the next morning asking when we wanted maintenance to come - (hadn't they already?) At this point we had one night left and I didn't want to devote any more energy to the issue so we told them we wouldn't bother with the inconvenience of having someone come in while we were there. I had really high hopes for this place and would consider staying again in a normal apartment if I were given assurances that the air con would be quiet, I still appreciate the space, the views and the location. However I would never, ever pay for the penthouse again.

Stayed at the penthouse in Adina Hotel, and it was an absolute nightmare. After signing a no-party waiver at check-in, we expected a peaceful stay. Instead, we were met with paper-thin walls and music blasting from next door, so loud we could hear the lyrics. At first, we tried to ignore it, but the shouting and singing only got worse. We called reception, and after 30 minutes, they finally responded. Although the music was briefly lowered, it was blasting again soon after. We went out to escape the chaos, and when we returned at 4 AM, a group of people were still singing and shouting on the balcony. Despite multiple calls, there was no follow-up. At checkout, Roger from reception blamed us, saying we should have brought the issue to them in person. He was passive-aggressive, making us feel embarrassed in front of other guests. This was by far the worst hotel experience—I’ve had better nights at cheap motels. I’ll never stay at an Adina Hotel again. And before replying with 'I don’t see your name in the system' as your standard response, my partner was the one who checked in.
