Reviews for Tazio

From the very first email, organising my sister's hens party at Tazio was incredibly easy and stress free. We initially wanted to reserve the upstairs dining area, however it was already booked. One of the team suggested their private basement space, and I'm so glad they did. The private area reserved for our group was absolutely perfect. We were able to do our own set up, which created just the right atmosphere for a fun and intimate celebration. It comfortably accommodated all our guests, and we loved having a space where we could laugh, play games and celebrate without interruptions. There was plenty of food to go around, with a wide variety that catered to everyone’s tastes and dietary requirements. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and space for our celebration. Highly recommend for any special event!

An authentic Neapolitan pizza dough! The taste is real good!! Highly recommended! Also, it got the really nice cocktail. Better choice for gatherings~

Dined at Tazio on a fairly wild Melbourne night, but the interior of this restaurant is very spacious and roomy. The burrata with tomato jam was an amazing twist on a classic dish, I appreciate the waitress serving it with some crusty bread to get the excess stuff up. The mocktail I had was very refreshing, maybe not necessarily appropriate for the climate but still divine. Veal pasta was extremely flavourful and the pasta itself was so nicely cooked. I found the base for the Nutella pizza to be a little bit doughy, but the toppings were very tasty. Overall an extremely pleasant dining experience and I intend on returning when I next visit Naarm.

Decent spot for a weekday lunch. The weekday lunch special also comes with a drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options). I’ve tried the messico pizza (old lunch special option), which was a great choice, and the gnocchi con melanzane, where I thought the eggplant ruined it with the awful texture. Expect to spend ~$25-35 for the lunch special. Expect a card surcharge.

Tazio is a cute spot to grab a bite to eat, offering a cozy atmosphere and quality food. We walked in on a Friday night and were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. However, our experience with the service was a bit mixed. When we were ordering, my friend was still deciding on drinks, and the waitress seemed visibly frustrated. This made the situation a bit uncomfortable. That said, the food was a highlight! It arrived quickly, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their dishes. A nice place overall, but some improvements in service could make the experience even better.
