My husband & I had a lovely night here last week. It is a beautiful heritage hotel with many original features. The breakfast is very nice & all service was excellent. Special shout out to kind, wonderful & very helpful Tony who not only took our luggage, but was a wealth of information too. Tony, with that soothing speaking voice you should be on the stage. The hotel is housed in an elegant, historic building with an excellent location within the heartbeat of the city. I was allocated a ‘commerce’ room which was an upgrade on the original booking via the travel agent. I wouldn’t have liked to have seen the first choice because the upgrade room was well below a standard room. It was small, the double bed was two singles pushed together, the view out was limited to another tall building 20 yards apart, the floorboards creaked and the bathroom was lacking in space for a single occupant.

Ups and Downs Turn into a Memorable Stay at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne My recent stay at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne was a rollercoaster of experiences, but ultimately ended on a high note, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the staff, particularly Sen at the reception. Upon arrival, there were some minor issues with the check-in process, but these were swiftly addressed by the accommodating staff. I was graciously upgraded, though initially disappointed to find that the room lacked a bath, a specific request I had made. However, the team at Rendezvous Hotel went above and beyond to rectify the situation, offering alternative rooms with baths. While the first couple of options didn't meet my expectations, the final room they found for me far exceeded them. The room was not only spacious but also had a bath, allowing me to unwind and relax as I had hoped. It was also remarkably quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay. Throughout the ordeal, Sen, a trainee at the reception, stood out for his unwavering assistance, kindness, and sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. His dedication to ensuring my comfort was truly commendable. Despite the initial setbacks, the remainder of my stay was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel's amenities, coupled with the exceptional service provided by the staff, made for a memorable experience. Moreover, having breakfast included in the stay was a delightful bonus, with a range of delicious options to choose from. In hindsight, while there were a few bumps along the way, the efforts of the staff and the quality of the accommodations turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a delightful treat. I am grateful for the exemplary service provided by Sen and the rest of the team at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, and I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to others seeking a comfortable, affordable and enjoyable stay in the heart of Melbourne. The smaller rooms are quite small. Queen bed room. The light switches were flickering & pillows weren't clean. And the view I had felt as though I was in jail. They upgraded us to the next room which was the the king bed room. Super clean & had no issues. The lifts take while. And attendance was a little slow when I requested for service. There was construction outside which was frustrating to walk around through people. Location was perfect. I would stay here again however would book for a bigger room with a nicer view. Kept well for an old building.

I had my mum stay here over Christmas and it was brilliant! I was staying a few blocks away and I wished I had booked here. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The staff even left a small surprise for her on Christmas Day in her room. Thank you for a great stay!
