The receptionists were super friendly.They provided detailed information on what to do. I requested an upper room, and they upgraded me without hesitation. The room was spotlessly clean, and the view was great. They're also soundproof, giving you the comfort you need. Breakfast was amazing, but I would recommend an increase of options. Parking is very affordable. I would come here again and again. 100% recommend this hotel
The hotel is lovely, with a beautiful lobby and great bars. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, with Jane standing out for her exceptional service—she truly made the experience memorable. However, one staff member, I don’t want to mention his name here, was less helpful and didn’t seem interested in doing his job. Despite that, I’d still return for the overall pleasant vibe and the majority of the excellent staff.
Room for improvement- great looking hotel. Reception and main floor area is welcoming. The hotel rooms have some issues- style over practicality. Very dusty - the “circles “ on the windows look good but are dust collectors as is the extended led lit head board - ours was full of fluff. The bathroom door is impractical- if you slide it too far you get stuck in the bathroom as it has no handle. The kettle and crockery are stored too high for a short person like me to access. Also the lighting options are either on or off. No bedside lighting ( only lamp is on the desk). Our room also had an iron but no ironing board. Agree with other reviews that the hotel is understaffed- this is obvious in the bar/restaurant.
First of all. It's a well designed and built hotel. Everything is new and easy to find. We stayed for 3 nights for the long weekend. However, the service wasn't very impressive compared to the hardware. 1. I need to give credits to the receptionists. They are very friendly. However, It's very hard to find someone from the room. Very often no one picks up the phone if some help needed. 2. House keeping is terrible. There weren't any housekeeping during our stay. We asked the receptionist the reason. And he told me it's due to a new policy applied on the 1st of October that there will be only one housekeeping for every three nights stay unless you ask for it. This was stated in the check in form but no one pointed this unusual policy out when we checked in. 3. Also, we booked via booking.com there are supposed to have free beverage and room upgrade. However, none of them were mentioned by the receptionist. 4. We paid extra for the sofa bed. Unfortunately, it's very uncomfortable.
I was a bit wary about staying at an airport hotel but was pleasantly surprised. It was a modern, clean hotel with helpful staff. Only a short cab ride to anywhere in Canberra so perfect for a quick business trip.
