We were greeted with a big smile by Lauren, she was friendly and had great customer service explained the process and gave extra information on what to do in Sydney for us. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, comfortable beds, good space. Had an issue with the door which Lauren dealt with and within a short time the issue was resolved. Only had a small snack from the restaurant, staff were friendy. Overall a wonderful experience staying here and would stay again.
We had a fantastic experience during our three night stay. The front desk staff were friendly and approachable. They were able to accommodate us when our flight landed early with an early check-in. They also offered us complimentary breakfast for signing up for their rewards program. The room was clean and equipped with modern technology, including a wireless phone charger. The daily housekeepers did a wonderful job and kept the room clean and stocked. The hotel is situated close to the train station, so we had no problem getting around. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.
We stayed here for New Years Eve 2024/2025 as just a place to rest our heads before continuing on our holiday the following day. On check in Irene was AMAZING and very welcoming, she explained everything about the hotel & breakfast extremely well, she even went above and beyond by telling us how close Westfield was and a really nice restaurant to have dinner as the hotel restaurant was closed. The hotel it’s self is dated, it’s not in a great location being at the rear of car dealerships, the pool area is ok but once again very dated. We had a 2 room suite and the room as clean and well set up, the beds were extremely comfortable and bathroom was clean. We were presented with a complimentary bottle of Red Wine for NYE in our room on arrival. Would I stay here again, yes if I was just passing through & needed somewhere just to rest my head, it’s definitely not a spot to base yourself to go exploring. Parramatta is a bit of a rough area and I did have to “deal” with a drug effected person when we went for a walk to Westfield, my 13 year old shouldn’t have to see that, although this is not the hotels fault.
The staff were fantastic, every person I spoke with was very lovely and professional. The room however was not what I expected. I paid over $200 a night and found a cockroach running through the room. While the staff did remove it promptly, had I known about the uncleanliness of hotel I probably wouldn’t have stayed here.
I checked into the holiday inn last night. My reservation is for a standard room. I didn't ask for it, but a friendly staff member was kind enough to upgrade the room directly for me. This upgraded room has a living room and a bedroom. As soon as we walked in the door we smelled a musty smell but we didn't know why it was there. Around 12 p.m., we started taking off our shoes to get ready for the shower. We walked barefoot and found half the living room carpet was wet. That's where the bad smell comes from. We found the staff, who said the water from the toilet had seeped into the living room. And gave us a solution, change the room or give us a discount. That night we had already put our clothes in the closet and our toiletries and skincare products in the bathroom. It'll be a hassle to change rooms again. We need to pack everything. Let's choose discount. When we checked out the next morning, something unpleasant happened. We spoke to an Indian manager whose first name is M, who at first feigned ignorance to inquire about the night's events. Then he told us that there couldn't be any discount and that we had been given the option to change rooms last night. The point is that the attitude is consistently bad, unapologetic and impatient. The solution given by the staff last night is completely at odds with what he said. All the other staff I met at the holiday inn were friendly, but the manager made us very sad and angry. I think service attitude is very important to customers. I have checked out so far, and the $100 deposit I paid was also deducted. I will update my comment if it is returned later, but if it is not returned, then this hotel is really horrible, withholding my deposit without causing any damage to my room. If the deposit is not returned, I will go through the government process to ask for the return of my deposit.
