The beds and pillows were comfortable and the staff helpful. The rooms were nice but bathroom a bit tired looking. A great hotel situated for an overnight stay to catch a flight then next morning. The shuttle to and from the hotel was easy to catch and well priced. We thought the meals were a bit expensive, the portions on the small size and the menu didn’t have much variety but the food was nice.
The location was good for us, as we had just arrived from an international flight. We were meeting with family and having dinner at the hotel. Now for the not so good. We sat down for dinner at around 6:45pm and ordered our meals at around 7:15. At 8:30pm our meals had still not arrived and just as we were telling the waiter to cancel, our meals were brought out. There were several complaints from other tables as well. This being a Saturday night, I would assume that they would have had enough staff to fulfil requirements. The server staff were also less than satisfactory, only one staff member was smiling, the others seemed to not want to be there. Overall the experience was not good.
Given the price of the rooms, the hotel did not deliver. The rooms were minimalistic, the bathroom was very outdated, and I could not stand up straight in the shower because the roof was too low. The food at the bar (which is much cheaper than the restaurant) came out 40min after our friends, despite ordering within minutes of each other- the bar did compensate this by offering a free drink. The food was bland given the wait.
Had a decent stay at the Sydney International Airport Novotel. Check in and checkout we're both quick, easy and smooth. The room was cheap and had plenty of space. Unfortunately no amenities are provided in the room (supposedly for sustainability purposes) so you have to call the concierge if you need a toothbrush or shower cap (not sure what else is available). After I called it took about 45 minutes for the amenities to come which to me is a lot longer than it should take. The hotel is in a decent spot not too far from the airport and Wolli Creek station, however the walk through the park at night might not be the most comfortable for some people. Breakfast at the Marke Kitchen was ok but the fruits at the juicer needed to be refilled more often. Overall, a fairly average stay. Good for the price but the service during the stay could be improved.
Nice stay, hotel is consistent with the Novotel brand, having just stayed the day before at the Novotel, Sunshine Coast. The room was clean, bed comfortable, the usual Novotel furnishings; only point to note was it appeared the corner of the room was missing the lamp, due to this the room was rather somber, not adequately lit. The hotel is conveniently situated in the vicinity of the international airport, a short taxi ride away to take our flight with a 6am departure, which the staff at the front desk arranged. The staff welcomed us in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. We definitely would stay again, just as the Novotel experience should be.
