I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel from November 12th to 13th. My confirmation number is 4686.967.002, and my room number was 116. I made this booking through Booking.com for three people, as evidenced by my reservation details. Upon arrival, which was late at night, I encountered significant issues during check-in. The front desk staff member on duty was very rude and unaccommodating. Despite my booking for three people, I was informed that only a room with two single beds was available. When I asked for a solution for the third person, the response I received was dismissive: "I don’t know, up to you. If you want, you can cancel and go to another hotel." This was an unacceptable response, especially considering that I had traveled 400 km from Port Macquarie to Sydney and had no other options available at that time. Furthermore, when I entered the room, I noticed the following issues: No complimentary coffee or tea supplies No tissues provided No bottled drinking water available When I approached the reception to request a water bottle, I was told that the hotel did not provide bottled water and that I could take a cup and fill it myself. This is highly unusual, as even budget motels typically provide complimentary water bottles. The overall service experience was extremely disappointing and did not meet the standards I expected, especially considering the $237 charged for the room. I am very dissatisfied with my experience at Rydges and will not be recommending your hotel to others. I hope you take these issues seriously and work to improve your service and the amenities provided to guests in the future.
Review of Rydges Hotel Bankstown, Sydney I recently stayed at the Rydges Hotel in Bankstown, Sydney, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. While the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the condition of the room was disappointing. The room itself was not clean, with dust present in many areas, giving it a neglected and outdated feel. The bathroom was particularly concerning, as it had a broken toilet pipe that caused inconvenience. Overall, the room felt more in line with a budget hotel rather than a 4-star accommodation. The staff were the highlight of the stay, making an effort to be accommodating and helpful. However, the state of the rooms made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. This hotel could benefit from some thorough cleaning and maintenance to match the service level provided by the staff. Would not consider it a 4-star stay based on the room quality.
The finest hotel I ever know that have neat and tidy clean room.The customer service are great, friendly and polite staff. The price is reasonable with buffet breakfast. The location is just ok, you need around the block to get back to the hotel. Thank you guys, you are amazing
At first, I thought it was just a small, clean, old hotel, but I felt great after meeting Natasha. She was kind and helpful to my son and me. Her help gave us better memories of Australia and hotels.
