Overnight stay for international connection. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, thank you ladies! Upgraded to airport view and king bed at minimal cost. Even the cleaning staff were smiling and friendly. Great views thru clean large window. Very comfy bed, clean facilities, good shower. Met fellow travellers in the Cloud bar, fair prices. Ate at the hotel, yes, a little expensive but delicious, well cooked and easy. Takeaway leftovers made for a handy, sort of free, breakfast. No complaints, I recommend.
Great hotel, stayed overnight to catch early International flight. The T1 terminal is just across the road so super convenient. We also flew in from WA on a domestic flight and caught the free airport shuttle which drops you off at T1. Arrived after 10pm and the restaurant and bar was open until 11pm which was convenient. Great staff and food came out quickly. Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms and large rain head shower. Highly recommend and will stay here again.
Family suite was large and clean. Checked in on line easy to do. Smith bar has limited choice of meals and very expensive. Easy walk from international terminal. Need to take the free airport bus to get to domestic terminal. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were sound proof. Definitely would stay again
Terrible customer service. They only take the opportunity to be the only walking distance hotel to charge and do whatever they want. The receptionist was extremely rude when I arrived over the lob. She could not even do my check-in because she was sorting something else (My family was the only people at the lob). She pointed me the self check-in; i wasn't working. Completely frustrated that she would have to work, she told me that I was doing wrong and started again. Now, the credit card machine "apparently " did not work, and the check-in could not be completed. She took me to the front desk to try a manual check-in. And charged me again. After this situation we were finally able to go to our bedroom. For my surprise, the credit card machine was working perfectly. And I have been double charged. I'm sending daily emails trying to get my refund. At first, i was told that an investigation was needed, even if I sent my bank statement clearly showing the double charge. After that, I was told that I would need to wait 5 to 10 business days, done. Now, more than 10 business days later, I can not even get an answer back from the hotel.
Rooms were poorly maintained, sheets were not cleaned (we found hair on sheets and pillow) and we were charged for something that we did not take. It also took a long time for front desk to answer our calls. Sound proofing was horrible, so if you need a decent sleep before your trip, forget about it, you can constantly hear people walking past the hallway. To put the cherry on top, the hotel kindly asked the trades people to start their maintenance in one of the rooms close by early morning to ensure you don’t miss your flights. One day after we have left the hotel, we were charged with an additional fee for no reason only to be greeted by rude customer support. The experience was a big disappointment. It is overpriced even for its location, I don’t see any reason to stay here.
