Location: The location is amazing, located only a block from the harbor. Rooms: The bed was very comfortable. However, the layout of the room was odd. There was very little storage space for luggage and contents despite the room to include it. Additionally, my bathroom had a slight odor of raw sewage emanating from the floor drain. I notified the front desk about it. The second day they sent maintenance up, but whatever they did had no effect on the smell. Food: I found the breakfast to be quite boring and bland. The "hot" food was always cold. I got charged 1 out of 2 days for breakfast, when I shouldn't have based on my Hilton status. The employee who insisted that I had to pay for hit breakfast on my last day was also rude. He sat me at a table located in direct sun and ran off without any other offers for coffee, etc. I saw him again a few minutes later as he seated another table. He asked them if he could get them any drinks or omelets from the kitchen. When I went to get my food, he dropped off a bill for the cold "hot" food but didn't leave a pen to sign with. My rating on service is highly influenced by him. One night I ordered a burger and fries from room service. The food was absolutely disgusting. The burger meat has a very odd taste and wasn't seasoned in any way. The fries were thick and flavorless.
Very modern and stylish hotel in a great location just 5 minutes walk from Darling Habour, Cockle Bay Wharf and plenty of bars/restaurants. We surprisingly found our room was quiet for the location (good sound proofing) I'd say! Great customer service and the room was very modern, stylish with a comfy bed but for one of the best rooms, little small even for the two of us. Parking is convenient just over the road but of course priced accordingly for Sydney CDB, think we bought shares :) Our room included continental breakfast (buffet) which was of a reasonable standard.
The service rating is more about the rules and facilities provided. The staffs are great. Since the last visit a year ago, the rule has changed that they are now holding a $50 deposit(credit card)when check in. The room has a mini bar but didn't provide a price list nor information whether it's free or not. Not expecting free on all at least the bottled waters. Well, I didn't touch any as I dun want my deposit being deducted. It's been a few days and my cc is still showing 'pending' on this amount. With the daily rate of $300+ per night, some facilities should be provided in the room. For eg, the Dyson library is only be provided upon request, and upon the availability. Isn't this be included part of the room package? It would also be great to provide some free streaming service, either Netflix, Disney plus etc.
Incredible experience going there for the first time. The service was fantastic, the room looked even better than in the pictures and all of the facilities worked great. The room was tidy, clean and sanitary too. We loved the continental breakfast package because of the variety of hot and cold foods offered. The staff make it top quality 👍🏼 would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
Very cozy hotel in a convenient location in Sydney. I really enjoyed our room. It was very quiet and the bed was so comfortable! The staff was so very helpful in recommending areas of Sydney for us to explore. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby. Very close to the harbor and within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay! Very romantic!
