I stayed for 2 nights before making my way back to Sydney, the check-in was easy and quick with friendly helpful staff. The resort is beautiful, Colonial style building and structures, surrounded by lush gardens featuring water streams, host to native animals that come and go. Cafe food is amazing, get yourself a Flamingo Vege Burger ❤️ the cafe is poolside, of which there is 3 pools to choose from surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and a man-made beach. I got a standard room, which was roomy and well maintained, complete with fridge, tea and coffee; desk space, ironing board, extra blankets, clothes hanging space, bathroom amenities including hairdryer; ceiling fans and air-con for you to survive the tropical humidity 🤣 -you do also have the option of getting the resort rooms of which are beautiful btw if you want to go more premium. Rooms are maintained daily. The resort is also complete with conference rooms if you are having an event, or even hold it in the garden under the pergola surrounded by nature. Tired body and soul? No problem! Masseuse massage, rehab, aqua fitness and yoga classes available in the resort. Hair salon available. There is also guest laundry and free onsite parking if you're traveling by car. Mini golf and pedal karts available Friday to Sunday, and on school holidays Wednesday to Sunday to keep the kids entertained. All in all, 2 days and a great stay. Will come again next time I'm up here ❤️❤️🤟🏽
This place is AMAZING!! Perfect for families. It's location near the airport was ideal & not far from the Marina either. We loved our room and having a restaurant on site was a fantastic plus!! The 3 beautiful pools was so much fun for my daughter who I cldnt get out of the pool. We'll def be back.
The resort is great for kids, however pools are much smaller than shows in the pictures, there maybe 3 pools but for the size of the resort they are small and crowded. Room was good but walls are paper thin. We could hear every conversation, burp, cough, fart and Tv in the next room. Could hardly sleep listening to people talk next door. Won’t stay here again
This is a beautiful budget and family-friendly place to stay in Cairns. They have several pools, and the tropical plants throughout provide privacy in the large complex. The rooms are maintained satisfactorily and the rooms are as expected for this price. The staff are very friendly, and the cocktail happy hour every day is well priced with great choices. The food is good but a little pricey for those with families. We had a car to travel around which you will need if you stay here. I recommend this place as a good, safe choice that lives up to expectations.
It's absolutely awesome. Great hotel, really comfortable bed. Very nice staff. Really nice bonus in the form of shower access before and after the booking. They have a comfy guest lounge with air conditioning (allows you to dry off a bit) with bathroom and shower access. There's also a basic kitchen in there. The hotel rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and large bathrooms. There are restaurants in the hotel plus pizzeria and cafe nearby. There are 3 pools at the hotel, a lot of greenery with a lot of interesting exotic plants. The hotel has also strategically placed vending machines, which have good prices for snacks and soft drinks. There's some wildlife like a lot of birds and colourful butterflies which are visiting those plants. There was also a gecko on the wall of one of the buildings:) If someone is afraid of birds and lizards, you don't have to worry. The hotel windows have nets, so nothing will pay you a visit in your room;) But I'm assuming, that if someone is visiting Cairns, then that person loves nature and will actually expect to see exotic plants and animals. It has this little "welcome to Jurassic Park" vibe before the animals went wild;) We were at the hotel during the rain season, and it was great. I have never experienced a tropical rain before. It's like a warm shower. You're not getting cold. I highly recommend it. The hotel also has a laundry, so in case you run out of dry clothes, you can fix it there. You just need to secure your phone and wallet from the rain, maybe take an umbrella to not get too wet, and you're good to go. Sandals/thongs are possibly the best option. Cairns also has a beautiful botanical garden, which is close to the hotel. I would possibly build more sidewalks in the area;)
