We went to the Osbourne Hotel on a Thursday night (steak night). The place was packed and even though we booked a table there was nothing reserved for us. Fortunately the waitress was able to secure a table for us after a while. I do understand the place was busy and things can go wrong but we both very underwhelmed by the food. The steak was ok. We ordered medium well but got served well done. What was disappointing was that one of the steaks was not seasoned at all. Chips were lukewarm. The mushroom sauce would have been outstanding if it wouldn't have been lukewarm. My partner was ordering drinks from the bar and got constantly hit with the elbow by other drunk patrons. What's the point of having security running around this place if you allow this behaviour to occur at your venue? We have been to this restaurant a few times. Last time was exceptional bad however we've also have had better experiences. Hence I give it 3 stars.
I'm giving two stars for the food. It used to be spectacular but now it's not much better than average. Used to be steak and duck fat potatoes now it's undercooked potato wedges and abandoned broccolini. How much effort is it to boil some green beans French style and serve with butter or proper roast potatoes or Not everything should be deep fried otherwise it just tastes the same as all pubs. Their steak and duck fat potatoes over a year ago was the bomb. Their schnitzel or steak sides now are just below average pub fare. Great atmosphere, great venue for group drinks, great location. Avoid the food!! Too much like Sydney beer barn menu.
Its a nice venue, but very little seating for small groups, ordered via QR app, and after 20 mins waiting, went to the bar to discover they had no record of my order. Showed the email and bank receipt, and it was handled well. Appreciated the drink specials, but food was a major let down. Butter chicken wings tasted like a mild pasta sauce coating, zero butter chicken taste. Burrito bowl was similarly tasteless and bland. Now i see why no one was eating here...Might come back, but only for the drinks
My team had a Christmas party at the Osbourne, and I have never been treated so rudely by a venue. Well before our reservation had expired the staff were aggressively hassling us to move on. In fact one staff member advised me “you just need to leave”. We did, all 30 of us went to Fortitude Valley Music Hall Sound Garden, and had a great evening. The atmosphere was better and the prices are cheaper. Go there instead of the the Osbourne!
We attended a wonderful luncheon at Osbourne Hotel yesterday in support of breast cancer awareness. The food was absolutely delicious, with a fantastic combination of tender chicken and beautifully cooked, vibrant vegetables – truly amazing! The MC was delightful, and the live entertainment added a special touch to the day. The entire event was outstanding, and the hospitality from the whole team was exceptional. I highly recommend both the venue for a meal or hosting an event. A truly impressive and inviting space!
