Our stay at this hotel was wonderful! The location is absolutely perfect – everything from shops to restaurants and activities is just a short walk away, with tram and bus stops conveniently nearby. We hardly needed to use Uber, which saved us a lot. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the staff made us feel welcome right away. The highlight was the stunning ocean view from our room, which made the stay even more special. It’s the ideal place for both convenience and relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again on our next visit!
Upon check-in, the person on reception should have suggested that we unload our luggage and leave it in the lobby before parking, seeing's how we were directed to park in the basement carpark and had to carry our bags up a huge flight of stairs in order to reach the lobby elevators. There needs to be TV instructions in rooms, as later that night we tried to use the TV remote and couldn't work out how to change channels. We reported it the next morning and were told it would be looked at. Got back on the second night and was the same. Someone came to the room and showed us the 'trick' to fix the issue. Friends of ours also staying there, told us they had the same problem. Also got back on the second night to a bathroom abandoned midway through the cleaning service...had to ask for toilet paper, tissues (tissue box holder left undone on bathroom bench) and we were also one towel short. Overall, we were disappointed with this hotel's service. (While I was waiting to check in, I even overheard someone on reception asking a colleague about a customer trying to book an Ocean View Spa appointment & being told that "there's no spa in this hotel". I later walked past a banner advertising the Ocean View Spa! ) The rooms and bathrooms are also in need of renovation.
Great Location. Only a block from the beach. Great function room. We attended a function here so chose to stay few nights to relax and enjoy the region. Whilst the hotel is adequate, she is nearly at that time where she is ready for a refurb or a touch up at least. Nothing that will ruin your holiday but just general wear and tear. I think that may be reflected in the price as from memory it was very slightly cheaper than the neighbours. We did notice that one day our beds were simply pulled up and new towels given. No glasses cleaned or beds made. A little odd. (new or lazy staff perhaps) the following day the room team did much better. As I don't hang out in the hotel I wasn't fazed but other may be. Its old, so am I ;) I'm not as shiny as I once was either - Hahah
Had a wonderful stay at Mantra View Hotel. We got a lovely room with a great view, and it was spotless—big thanks to the home care team for maintaining such high standards. Service throughout the stay was excellent. The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast, which was convenient, although it would be nice to see a bit of variety in the menu from day to day. Just a small suggestion, not a complaint. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Surfers Paradise with the tram station just a short walk away. Kudos to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable. Highly recommended!
I paid $150 to be in the heart of Surfers, with a room on the 17th floor (I think there are 20 floors altogether) with sweeping views of the ocean and a little balcony with a small table and chairs to walk out onto. The room was spacious with 2 double beds and a large bathroom with marble tiling. There were ample hand wash and shower gels/ shampoo etc in pump containers. The air con was 'vent in the wall' but had individual controls and worked well. This was very good value. $150 was a weekday price - Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights are obviously their peak times and the prices rise a fair bit. The staff at reception were absolutely lovely. If you are wanting newly renovated/ immaculately maintained you will probably need to go to another facility (and pay a hundred or so more per night). I was happy to look past the scuff marks on the doors leading into the rooms for the cheap price, central location and the views. There is a buffet breakfast (not included, at least at my rate) but I didn't partake of it. There is limited underground parking which is $20 and in all honesty is a nightmare as there are only steps (quite a lot) up to reception. If arriving by car there is temporary parking in the front loading area/ driveway. I would recommend taking anything you want to take up to your room with you to check in and then coming back down to park the car. Trust me, you will be pleased you did! I would definitely stay again, but not with my car. Also, there is no pool (only spa baths/ plunge pools on a deck) but this didn't worry me as I was not interested in this.
