Great location, but hotel in general is really aging. they've lost their pool and hot tubs, and the common areas and rooms were very simple. Construction equipment out the window, and a loud nightclub. Location is still good, but it's not what it used to be....
Stayed at Mantra on View (room 912) and was really disappointed compared to my stay about three years ago. The rooms used to feel warm and cozy with the original heavy furniture and darker tones, but the recent renovation feels very cheap and clinical. The laminate flooring already looks poorly installed with visible gaps, the walls are painted bright white like a hospital, and the lighting doesn’t even match (one warm, one bright white). They’ve also added a small kitchenette that feels unnecessary, replacing the nice dark table the room used to have. The black bed runner looks unsanitary compared to the usual white hotel linen, and the beds are so light now that they slide across the floor when you sit on them, probably because of the laminate instead of carpet. Overall the renovation feels rushed and tacky, and unfortunately the hotel has lost the cozy atmosphere it had a few years ago.
The hotel itself is beautiful and well situated in the area, close to all amenities. However, the few members of staff on reception I came across were nothing but unhelpful. My key card wouldn't open the gym, they were of no help whatsoever. Every single hotel in the world allows bags to be left on the day of departure for a period of time, not here.
The exterior of the hotel looks absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately I didn't do my research and there was no pool at this hotel my children were quite disappointed. I did however when scrolling through see the word spa not focusing on day spa only the beach is within a 2-minute walk but the Seas at Surfers can be quite toppy the location fantastic the staff Excellence the food for breakfast was great it was just the rooms really need a big makeover
Staying at Mantra on View was amazing and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The beach view from our room was fantastic, and room service was great too. The location is excellent — the beach is less than two minutes away, with nearby shops and activities like arcades and escape rooms. One thing that really stood out was that the TV actually worked and had Foxtel, which meant the kids could watch what they wanted. The buffet was also good and catered to vegetarians! We loved our stay overall and would absolutely come back!
