Stayed here overnight. Was beautiful, the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Close to the lovely Roma parkland and not far from the hub of activities. We stayed in room 314 which was lovely and spacious. It was next to the elevator but not a sound could be heard. At the moment there is construction next door but being a Saturday they were not working. Restaurant was lovely food was very good. Highly recommend a stay here
Honestly, just very, very average and very overpriced. The Good: The beds (we had twins) are big and comfy and clean. The location is fantastic. A short walk down to the CBD and shopping. Close to the station. to avoid walking back up, there is a free loop bus (number 30) that will take you to the door of the hotel. I also really like the products they use in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The Mediocre: The staff are really mid. They don't go out of their way to be nice. They do the minimum. They rarely force a smile to greet you as you come and go. They offer no suggestions to (obvious) tourists. They did not help with luggage even though we were checking in with one person in a wheelchair. I had to make 4 separate runs to and from our uber. They did not even tell us about the free bus service. I asked if there was a store nearby, I was told "no, its like a ten minute walk through the park to 7/11". I learned on my own that there is actually a cafe, pub, and convenience store less than 5 minutes walk down the street. I called to ask for a toothbrush and got: “yeah, come to the lobby and get one”. Really just uncaring. It was weird. I would like to note one exception, a tall handsome Asian man. Might have been a chef. He was lovely and friendly and kind. The rooms are small. But fine. The pool is always in the shade and cold even when its a heat wave in Brisbane. But Fine. We were (luckily) not on the construction side, so the noise that others complain about was not an issue for us. Fine. The Bad: I paid AU$224 a night for 3 nights ($674). Which is EXORBITANT for such a meh hotel. Then went to extend for one more night and they had put the rates up to $500 a night because of a public holiday. This is just price gouging. For this price there is no breakfast included and there are boogers smeared on the wall by my bed. Honestly. I know Australia is overpriced, but this hotel is out of its depth. Charging premium rates for no perks and no level of service. Spend a bit more for a 5 star hotel. This place deserves a 3-star rating at best.
Good value for money, clean room, and great location. The customer service was excellent. I arrived in Brisbane very early after a long flight and was able to check in earlier than expected, which I really appreciated. Very satisfied with my stay. Highly recommended!👍
Great balcony view of Roma street gardens and sunset over mountains. Ian at reception was wonderful. It was my husbands birthday so was a bottle of red wine waiting for us in our room. Bed was very comfortable.
Had a great time. The staff upgraded us and gave us a few goodies for our special occasion. Great view of Brisbane City. The rooms could be cleaned better, my partner does housekeeping and she commented on a number of things which I usually would have missed. Also the room service and kitchen weren't available a number of times we tried to use them.
