46 Newquay Promenade, Docklands VIC 3008, Australia
Bar
•In the relatively new area of the Docklands, Renzos Bar can actually lay claim to being a bit of a veteran. The popular Italian spot was one of the first bar-slash-cafe combinations to open its doors in the bustling precinct, and is an iconic restaurant in this part of Melbourne. The brainchild of a pair of seasoned restaurateurs, an Italian couple no less, Renzo’s has garnered a reputation for high quality Italian cuisine paired with a postcard-worthy view of the harbour.Strolling down the New Quay Promenade, water, boats, and glittering city lights (depending on the time of day), one might feel compelled to head into Renzo’s purely to enjoy the view of Melbourne’s Docklands. However, to have become such a popular dining fixture along the waterfront there has to be more going for Renzo’s than a pretty picture out the front. All the usual Italian favourites are on the menu, but it’s probably the authentic pizza selection that’s most popular.Renzo’s is well-versed in playing host to all manner of functions, from group dinners to corporate events. The space comfortably houses 180 guests, within the restaurant proper and out on the al fresco dining area. Function organisers have the option of full sit-down service or finger food menus, ideal for a cocktail party.Renzo’s is found in the heart of the Docklands, perched on the waterfront along New Quay Promenade. For the Docklands uninitiated, the 35, 70 and 86 trams roll along Docklands Drive, which is a short walk from the promenade. That’s on the La Trobe side of the city, a few minutes from the heart of the CBD. Southern Cross is the closest train station.

If I could give 10 stars for service I would. Amazing service and wonderful food. The antipasto platter was perfect - Pumpkin and chicken pizza tasted great. Outside area is lovely and heated.
Warm, and welcoming atmosphere, with seating available indoors and outdoors, making it an ideal spot for dining or grabbing a quick bite. The service was excellent with staff being very prompt, attentive, and friendly. The chai latte was a standout for me on the chilly evening I visited-perfectly spiced, creamy and made with love. The pizza Tropicana featured a simple delightful combination of smoked ham, tomato, mozzarella and pineapple on a thin, flavorful crust with crisp ends. Will be back to try the pasta.
This place is a lovely little Italian - off the beaten track on the esplanade - away from the city crowds yet still very accessible, being in the Docklands and close to Marvel Stadium. Fabulous attentive service, delicious food, great wine choice, great location.
Absolutely delicious food! My Dad and I went for an early dinner before a concert and the ability to book for an earlier dinner was great! The bruschetta was the absolute stand out by far, but the pasta mains we got were also delicious!
Authentic Italian cuisine ❤️ the service was great, the food was superb, owner was very accommodating. we had the pizza, pasta and tiramisu and a few cocktails 🍸 it was great! Will definitely be back for more
