This restaurant has the best space with magnificent ambience located right in the middle of Melbourne CBD on Collins & Queens. It definitely is a great catchup spot for anyone working & living in the Melbourne city. Food portions are substantial with a quick turnaround time of food delivery.
The building itself is grand and well designed. It is a hotel with an open lobby with a bar and restaurant. I tried the seafood pasta which was decent. They also had Parma night on Wednesday, $29 with a drink which is not a bad deal. We asked for ketchup which never came even though the place was only half full.
This was a great place for a large booking. Amazing decor and excellent pub style food. Chicken parma, burgers, fish and chips etc.
The dining experience at Bank Bar Restaurant on Collins Street was exquisite. The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful, paired beautifully with savory sides (chips & salad). The portions were huge. Just remind that they dont have takeaway. The cream brûlées with citrus flavor was an absolute delight, striking the right balance between smoothness and the caramelized top garnished with orange peels. The ambiance was elegant with a great view of Collins street. The service was great. Staffs were so kindly and polite. it is highly Highly recommend. Food was good overall - although the steak came out a little dry and overcooked. The service was average - staff was not really looking at the tables - our drink took 30 min to come and food almost 40 when other people that arrived after us got served before. We had to ask several times and it was always hard because they were not really looking towards our table. The steak sauce also had to be replaced because it had curdled.
