Just randomly walked in for lunch for the first time and was happy to find they had a lunch special going on, which was a bonus. We ordered the chicken schnitzel, which came with chips, gravy, and salad. The meat was very chewy. The chicken burger was actually delicious, but the chips looked sad and unappealing. Service was good, but the food took over 20 minutes to arrive, even though it wasn’t busy at all. Overall, an okay experience—some hits and misses.

Absolutely amazing customer service, food and portions were huge! We booked Christmas day and we had to change our booking a few times to accomodate for extra family. Nothing was an issue and we had the most amazing greeting, service and food, with lots to take home! Extra special shoutout to Holly who took our booking over the phone and greeted us on arrival!

Just WOW! I was privileged to enjoy internationally-classed Jazz from the John Montesant Quartet on Thurs 20/11/25. The gorgeous singer Anastasia Aspeling wove an intimate but dazzling ambience between the band and audience. So many favourite standards and Bossa Nova!!! The sad thing is that I don't live in Melbourne and therefore I am not able to come down regularly. Thanks for the Jazz JMQ, especially Jazz Guru John Montesant. Thanks to the Golden Gate for supporting great live Jazz.

Just came in for a drink after visiting the market. Standard pub pricing but there was a big table of young blokes out the back that made regular and plentiful visits to the toilet. Not a good look during the day with families around.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited this pub with some friends on a lazy Monday and was blown away by the delicious food and great value. Their $20 main meal specials were a hit—generous portions, full of flavor, and absolutely satisfying. To top it off, we even got cashback using the Pass app, which made it an even bigger bargain! The vibe was relaxed and perfect for starting the week on a good note. Highly recommend this spot for tasty meals and great deals!
