Higher Ground is a beautifully designed, aesthetic café that makes a great first impression. The ambiance is trendy and inviting, with a lot of attention to detail in the interior. The food presentation is excellent – everything looks picture-perfect and well thought out. However, while the dishes look amazing, the taste was just average in my opinion. As a vegetarian, I found there were only a few options on the menu, and they didn’t really wow me. That said, the service was fantastic. The staff were attentive, friendly, and really added to the experience. Overall, it's a lovely place to visit for the vibe and presentation, but the food, especially for vegetarians, could be a bit more exciting.
Beautiful power station turned into a cafe, coffee was really great, food was generally good, lovely space! Came back another time and got the scramble egg with sour bough, added bacon and sausage! Price is expensive but food portion is definitely can be shared
Great place! It has its own rustic style that I love, high ceiling I just love it! Highly recommend to book in advance as it is very popular! The food is generous and the coffee is good! They have an open kitchen so that's cool! kids friendly! Wheelchair friendly and great atmosphere for a date or a catch up!
I love the ambience, and the food is nice, but the menu options are limited. While they claim the meat is halal, they also serve ham and pork, which is confusing. A medium coffee costs $7, which is outrageously expensive! Our total for breakfast, which included two meals and two drinks plus a 10% service charge, came to over $80. The service was good, though not particularly friendly, just standard. We had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes. This was on a weekend. Overall, while the experience was pleasant, I still prefer other places that offer good food, good service, and reasonable prices. This spot is more for impressing guests or if you’re willing to splurge. Personally, I don’t think I’ll return for breakfast, I’ll explore other options.
It’s a nice place if you’re visiting but nothing else. I wasn’t impressed by the food. The hotcake was cute but blind taste. The service was ok, the host was kind of lost asking the other members of the staff where he should seats us, they had plenty of free tables and we were only 2…! The ambiance was nice a bit loud but that’s what makes it vibrant. Pricey though.
