Staff were very professional and provided a prompt service. The room was very clean and spacious for 4 people. (2 adults & 2 kids 13yrs+10yrs), excellent amenities, kids loved the pool, breakfast had a lot of options and included barista made coffee! at no extra fee! The gentleman who assisted us with bags was very welcoming every time we saw him. Excellent location, travelators take you into Chadstone shopping center which has ample shopping, eatery and entertainment options to keep us busy for our stay.
Had a great time with the family. Mum chilled at the room or at the shops, the kids had fun building gingerbread men, and dad(me) can just sit back and let it all happen. Highly recommend for serious shoppers and young families. Crazy good food quality to the room, better than Crown Casino. Shout out to Allan who catered to our needs and made the stay super comfortable and smooth.
My daughter and I stayed just prior to Christmas and she had a great time. She loved the buffet breakfast, was thrilled to do the gingerbread decorating, loved the Christmas carols playing and all the Christmas decorations at the hotel. She was devastated we didn’t bring bathers for the pool. The proximity to Chadstone shops meant we were a short walk to the Arcade, pizza, shops and Mini Golf. It was the start of a great yearly tradition she can’t wait to do again next year
Check-in took almost an hour, and we were given keys to someone else's room. Horrifying! I booked a twin room (two queen beds). We were reallocated to a new room, different configuration, acceptable, albeit not ideal for our needs. We were also told we were given complimentary breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience of not getting the room we booked (they then tried to charge us for this upon checkout)! I've stayed in more hotels than most due to travelling a lot for work, with a range of budgets, and I've never had an experience like this. It genuinely seemed like the hotel staff had never worked with people before. For such an expensive weekend option, it sure was disappointing. The restaurant staff, however, were fantastic. Buffet breakfast was decent, but the labelling was restricted to "vegetarian" or not, and one gluten-free bread. If you are vegan or dairy-free, you have to guess. Not worth it if you have any dietary requirements at all. The pool area, although a bit cramped, was nice with a great city view, but it would have been lovely if it had been cleaned up. Each time we went, there were glasses, trays, rubbish, and used towels all over. And no clean towels left. We saw staff coming in to check on the area, yet they didn't address any of these issues, so why bother checking? We had to call reception to get them to bring towels. Then there is the location—I personally think it is great to be close to shopping and food, with the free tourist shuttle at your disposal as well for city trips. Parking, however, is incredibly poorly signed, so finding it is a challenge. TLDR: I wouldn't stay again; it was not the high-end experience it's marketed as. If they call this hotel five stars, then it's time to start treating it that way with every interaction. It could be great if they address their issues, but I was continually disappointed and frustrated.
My mother and I had a one night stay at Hotel Chadstone . We both absolutely loved it. It was absolutely amazing. The room was so clean and beautiful. The location is so convenient we did shopping at Chadstone then came back for a rest in our room and went shopping again. The staff were so professional polite and so helpful for any of our needs. We especially loved being greeted at the front by concierge including Allan and another young man who I’ve forgotten his name (very tall polite man) they were both so welcoming and even held the door open for us on arrival and Allan also on our departure. It’s little touches like this that make it feel special. Would definitely love to stay again a very memorable experience for us. The pool and spa were a perfect way to relax after a big shopping day. The staff are a credit to the hotel .
