Overall a disappointing stay especially for the money we spent on a dine and stay package in a suite. Rooms are basic and dated - well overdue for a renovation. Not cosy or luxurious. Plus, whoever thought that frosted glass doors and no sound insulation were a good idea for a toilet in a romantic suite? Restaurant is very average, dishes unremarkable though they try with service. Breakfast - I have no words. Very limited selection, they constantly ran out of food and we had to wait for replenishment, 3 star hotel quality. Positives: grounds are beautiful and the spa is nice. Parking is indeed free :-)

Had a great experience with the front receptionist this week. My mother and I had some issues with the adjoining restaurant, and the wonderful Frances promptly (and gracefully!) completely sorted it out 😊. Thank you so much! We appreciate the time and effort you took to make sure our stay was positive and memorable!

We were so looking forward to stay at the lancemore for an embers package (inclusive of breakfast and mulled wine/smores). The staff were absolutely lovely and I can’t stress that enough. However the pool was under maintenance, ours smores and mulled wine were incomplete (not even half filled glasses and pepper crackers instead of chocolate) and the free wine tasting at shadowfax was all booked despite it not closing for another hour and a half. To top it off booking is essential for the restaurant and there is an extra $6 charge for any room service (and the meals weren’t cheap). I had really hoped for a better stay.

Please don't waste your money. You WILL be grossly disappointed. It's not what it seems. Nothing is as it seems. Motels are far cleaner than this. Please read the one star reviews and take time to look at photos. TBI CPTSD COMA LIFE SUPPORT. Retired Vic Pol Restaurateur They put me in a prison cell, literally. Stainless steel sink, prison striped walls. Hot, no air. No fan. Brought my own. Dirty, Dusty, Mouldy, Loud, VERY LOUD. Expect to be disturbed. Employees knocking on my door. Motel 7 food. Old breakfast. No hot breakfast. Rude staff. The "restaurant" ... Tip : Never NEVER harrass a guest whilst they're eating, especially if you're a kitchen hand. Human waste smeared over the tv. I've scraped particles and bagged it. Off to get lab tested. No bath robe, no hair dryer, no slippers. It goes on and on. 5 stars ? I wouldn't pay more than $170 for that room. In fact. I was charged $279 yet the price advertised over the interweb is $179 Management stated it was FOOD splattered and dried all over the tv. He Was comfortable saying that. "It's ok, it's just splattered old dry food over the tv in your FIVE STAR $300 a night, room". I wasn't going to say anything at all. Desperately trying to keep my peace. Cannot afford to be aggravated or triggered. Far too sick to engage but they charged my card an additional $304, 90 minutes after checkout without notifying me in any manner. No phone call, no email, no invoice. I returned only to be humiliated at the counter rather than listen to my request to sit down. At some point ya'll have to cease doing this. The extra charge was for smoking in the room. Did not see No Smoking Sign anywhere, regardless, I understand the costs associated. My issue is not being treated with respect and kindness. It's MY bank account. Call me, send me an invoice at the bare minimum before bending me over. I take photos of everything so I may return to them at a later date, if needed. In this event, I took a photo of the inroom book. Near the last page you'll find "In the even you smoke in the room, a fee of $250 will be added". Thats a jump. From $250 to $304.00. GST ? $25 ... "We are allowed to draw on your funds from your credit card, on file, whichever amount we choose to, without your knowledge, is not illegal". I had a meltdown. It actually IS illegal. GOODS AND SERVICES. How are you claiming when you're not invoicing ? My colleagues don't care but the ATO certainly does. $66 was refunded to my account at frint desk by management. I don't even want a reply, it was that awful. Motel 7 kinda awful. Traumatising for someone suffering PTSD and health complications. Must be struggling financially. Place looks very tired, run down just like the staff. One staff member was knocking on my door at 8pm, frazzled, looking for the room they're to deliver the food trolley. He had just delivered my rubbery fish and chips 40 minutes prior. Fish was sat out under heat lamps. Interrupted my eating and peace to attend to his obvious state of confusion. Fortunately you only pay $6 for your rubbery fish to be delivered to your room "Room Service". Eureka 7/11 delivers for $1.99 and they have to walk across two main roads to get to me. Very noisy place. Babies crying, doors slamming. Youll hear it all night, all day. Very dirty. Very dirty. I mean "Health inspector" kinda dirty. My blue UV light showed fluid marks on the pillows and bed sheets. The blanket smelt like body odour. No amount of Chanel could remove that lingering scent up my nose, down my throat. I didnt use the pillows. I used one with my pillow protector over it, from home. Oh, none of the pillows had protection and only one pillow case. Room smelt like Body Odour and mould. I have a serious medical condition. I cannot swallow properly. Between the room, the food and their rude attitude, this is definitely not a place to go to if you want peace and quiet, cleanliness and kindness. I booked because of false advertising. 5 Starts to the receptionist upon arrival. She was your only saving grace or I would have left.

This place is local to us. Everything was amazing. Food was top notch best steak I’ve ever had. High tea was great. Spa experience was something I’ve never heard if before, Haman steam room with exfoliating scrub and clay mask. Felt so good. Ver relaxing.
