•After many years of extraordinary celebrations and occasions, Luminare has undergone an exquisite refurbishment. The renewed space has bestowed the long-standing industrial look for a more chic and refined finish while still paying homage to the lofty New York apartment mood. Located on the fringe of the city, high on a rooftop, with sweeping views of both Port Phillip Bay to the south, and the shining Melbourne city skyline to the north, the location is so far unmatched. Extensive decks are complete with cocooning outdoor furniture that spool the proud building. Four-metre floor-to-ceiling glass windows framed with black steel flush the space with an abundance of natural light. A colour palette across the hard and soft furnishings, wall and floor treatments, and accoutrements embrace charcoal, grey, black, ocean blue, Carrera marble and brass. Luminare can exclusively host 500 guests cocktail-style and a maximum of 250 guests for dinner.

⭐☆☆☆☆ As professional photographers, we've had the opportunity to work at numerous venues, but our experience at Luminare was beyond disappointing. Despite being hired to capture the special moments of a wedding reception, we were treated with a shocking level of disrespect. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that hospitality was not a priority for the staff at Luminare. While guests enjoyed tables laden with a variety of delicious foods, our table was entirely neglected. Not even a single piece of bread was provided for us. It's baffling that a venue, which prides itself on hosting elegant events, could overlook the basic courtesy of providing a meal for its working vendors. Our table stood in stark contrast to those around us—empty and barren while others overflowed with appetizers, main courses, and desserts. This glaring disparity wasn't just embarrassing, but also disrespectful to professionals who were working hard to ensure the event was beautifully documented. To add insult to injury, our attempts to address the issue with the staff were met with indifference. It's unacceptable to ignore the needs of those who contribute significantly to the success of the event. If you're considering Luminare for your special occasion, think twice about how they treat their vendors. A venue that cannot extend basic hospitality reflects poorly on the overall experience. We hope future clients and their vendors receive the respect and consideration we were denied. Such treatment not only diminishes the reputation of the venue but also leaves a lasting negative impression on all involved. We sincerely hope Luminare addresses these issues to prevent others from experiencing the same disregard.
We adore capturing weddings at Luminare, it is one of our favourite venues aswell has having the most wonderful staff who are so helpful. Also to mention the iconic rooftop setting is a must for photos!
We had a phenomenal experience with Luminare as our wedding venue. Emily, our event manager was exceptionally attentive & the care and professionalism she exuded was second to none. She had our back and made our experience seamless. Every question asked, she would have a response within seconds. Every phone call was answered right away. All the stress of planning a wedding was taken away and we were able to sit back & enjoy the process. We were well looked after in every way - I can't thank her enough! Every single thing was perfect on the night - the staff were incredible & all my wishes came true.. I would 100% recommend The Big Group to all brides & grooms looking for a perfect wedding venue - we are thrilled. X
Rented for the weekend and was very impressed with the room quality and bed comfort. Will go there again for any events near by.
