The $90.00 RibEye cooked to chefs choice was chewy. However luckily the wait staff & atmosphere were fantastic. The interior had that quaint, old fashioned charm, with booths & tables for different group sizes. It's located inside the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel -The Rialto building.
Came to Ronnie's to eat the seafood linguini (which was no longer available :() and their famous vodka pasta. The pasta was cooked really well.. but to be honest, I've had better vodka pasta elsewhere. We also got the crab pasta which was much better and highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I came in for a chill dinner date and have no regrets! Ronnie’s has been on my list for ages and I finally got to try it. Cathy the waitress served us and gave us the best energy. Literally made the experience 10 times better. Will definitely go back and hope to see Cathy again! Food was great and will defs be back to try more of the menu!
Came here last Friday for my work Christmas party! We booked a larger group of around 17 people and the booking process was easy and straightforward as well as there being plenty of large group packages to choose from for our diverse teams taste. We were seated in the private dining area which was separated from the main area enough to not lose too much atmosphere but also to keep our noise at a minimum from the rest of the restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible! The food package we chose was the “Ronnie’s Feast” which had a large variety and nobody went home hungry. All dietry requirements were met also without anybody feeling left out of the delicious options - Ronnie’s catered for Vegan, Lactose free and Gluten free with no issues. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of the meals themselves but they were all presented well. There was a large list of cocktail options which were a hit with alot of the team also! Staff were all lovely and this place is just gorgeous! Was a little tricky to find from the outside but once you’re in you won’t be disappointed, the photo’s don’t do it justice!!
We visited last Friday for dinner and was super exciting trying out the place. Our first waiter, who mentioned it was his first day, was confuse when explaining the menu and misunderstood our request of serving the main together. Instead, he thought we wanted the entrée and mains served at the same time. Just a bit of an awkward long wait, as one of our main was steak! The food taste and presentation was quite basic — nothing particularly refined or memorable. We ordered the focaccia, the viral vodka fusilli - average taste and the steak with truffle from their seasonal menu. No where in the steak can you find/smell/taste the hint of truffle. What really make the experience memorably worse was the overall service. We were still finishing our dessert around 9.20-9.30 pm when a waiter who hadn’t served our table all evening abruptly dropped off the bill and later come with eftpos machine without explaining or saying anything. It felt like we were being silently rushed out. Understand that bill need to be settled for closing but I do believe the approach can be more professional. When settling the bill, a waitress asked how our meal was. We mentioned we were particularly disappointed with the truffle steak. She said she'd pass the feedback to the manager — and left mid-transaction to do so. She returned shortly after saying, “That’s surprise, the steak is usually good.”, and we continue with the billing process like nothing was happening. At this point I just left speechless, because there was little point interrupting the process and the whole conversation just to ‘pass the feedback’ just to have no action taken. The restaurant wasn’t busy on the day we visited so I’m not sure why service is so disappointing.
