I stayed in this hotel for three nights in November. I loved this hotel. I found that location was very convenient, close to many restaurants and public transportation. There is a supermarket close as well. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff was polite and friendly. First room that we got was very nice and spacious and I really liked it, but the when I noticed that instead of shower it had a bathtub, I asked for another room. The staff was very accommodating, they gave us another room, which had a shower in addition to a bathtub. The second room was very nice and comfortable as well and also very spacious.
The Como lived up to all the wonderful things I had heard. Absolutely every staff member I encountered was so lovely and helpful. When checking in I was informed I could get 50% off when dining for two people - a great reminder as not all Accor hotels have this discount. The room was spacious and clean and I loved the cute touches in the bathroom - including the famous rubber ducky. Thank you so much to your team for making our stay so wonderful.
I booked a room where I arrived at 7 in the morning. I was told the night before over the phone that if I wanted to arrive at 7am I would need to book the night before I arrived. I was then told that my booking would be moved when I arrived so I could check in and then check out the next day. Upon checking in at 7 I was told that I could not do what I was told by the previous staff member the night before and that I had to check out in 4 hours time. The manager with the red beard was incredibly rude, passive aggressive and arrogant. For a 5 star hotel I would hope that the manager of the hotel was better presented and less rude. Horrible experience.
I was quite disappointed. When we arrived, I did not feel welcome. The room was a great size, but the lights in the bathroom were horrible. We had a great view of some trees, but the bed was hard. The TV had chromecast ability (which is great!) but it cut out every 10 minutes or so. If you are going to have the capacity to stream you need to have a network strong enough to enable it. The room had damage, the bathroom had hair in the bath. The bedside lights were harsh white lights, rather than something warm. I will not be staying here again, which is a disappointment because we got engaged here many years ago.
Rooms are roomy and comfortable, the whole hotel is quite dated and needs a refurbish and renovation. The pool area did not look or feel clean. Creepy room down the stairs from the pool. Definitely not 5 stars or worth $350 a night. Water from the shower splashes all over the roof and also leaks to the floor. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was very good! Parking is $50 a night a bit outrageous
