I have stayed in countless hotels in Melbourne and around Australia and this is my favorite. First of all, the view! If you stay here ask for a room with a city view. The service here is amazing always with really friendly staff. The rooms are top notch. Very comfortable, clean & modern. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in with exquisite bedding and pillows. The room service is delicious and the buffet breakfast is top quality. The only negative thing I can say but everything else is so good it is only minor is not having 24 hour room service.
We have stayed twice and each time has been a fabulous experience. Andrew, at the front desk, who checked us in both times, was so knowledgeable, professional and willing to make our stay outstanding. He even helped make our 50th Anniversary memorable. Grace was so personable and welcoming. We interacted with her numerous times as we enjoyed dinner and a drink. She even remembered us when we returned for our second stay. The guidebook for training hotel professionals should be based on these two individuals. We are from the states and these two staff members even made us consider making the 24 hour flight again. Thank you for making our Australian stay memorable
Great place to stay, always stay here whenever I visit Melbourne. It’s so close to the DFO which has plenty of shopping options and food options and is also walking distance from the convention centre and the river. Amazing gym and games room and also amazing dining options. Staff are always so helpful and kind and never had any problems. Last time I stayed the lock on my door had run out of battery when I checked in and the staff were quick to assist and even upgrade me to a room double the price for free for the duration of my stay with no waiting around at all. Had room service twice as well as dinner in the oak lounge on the ground floor and was not disappointed with the quality of the food!
The rooms were very nice to stay in, and we had an amazing view. The staff were very helpful. The major downside was that the water from the bathroom tap had an off-putting smell and taste.
I need to provide this negative feedback as this is my second time booking here after my first good experience. However, this time I am deeply disappointed with the service provided regarding the non-functioning air conditioning in my room. I checked in on the night of September 1st, and when I reported that the air conditioner wasn't working, the staff at reception called another staff member to come to my room to fix it, but they were unsuccessful. The next morning, I reported it again, and the staff said the maintenance person would check and fix it. After I returned to my room, the air conditioner was still not working! Every time I reported the issue, the staff made me wait 20 minutes. However, there was no communication between team members about the condition of the air conditioner or the results after each check and attempted fix. This lack of communication is totally unacceptable and a waste of the customer's time. Melbourne is currently experiencing bad weather, and it's quite cold. My room did not have a working air conditioner for nearly $300 AUD per night, which is ridiculous. After my second report, the staff checked again (third time)and made me wait 20 minutes, but the air conditioner still wasn't working. Eventually, they helped me change rooms, but I have already lost my trust and doubt that the new room will have a functioning air conditioner. Please improve your maintenance system and ensure better communication among your staff to make sure your facilities are working properly and not wasting customers' time.
