Second time staying in the Hotel. Absolutely spotless. Amazing service and a great location. Yes, it's on the other side of the freeway, but there is free weekend parking out the front of the hotel, and it's about a 400m walk to DFO and the river boardwalk. The walk is mostly undercover to. The beds was comfy and huge, the bathroom was clean and the lounge/kitchen area was perfectly appointed. The free coffee pods were a nice touch. The bars, and food are also incredible at the hotel. And there is a cool little supermarket on the bottom floor for snacks and drinks. My wife and I would love to stay here again! Highly recommended.
As soon as my mum and I walked through the doors we knew this would be the perfect place. Oakwood is nothing short of luxury. The service is amazing with the staff being understanding and listening intently to your feedback and questions. The buffet breakfast was delicious with so many options and cuisines. The rooms are fantastic and cleanly. 10/10 will come back again soon!!
Stayed at Oakwood Premier Melbourne for a business trip and had a fantastic experience. The room was modern, comfortable, and exceptionally well-equipped with a toaster, kettle, coffee machine, oven, microwave, full-size fridge, and washer/dryer combo. The views were amazing, and the location was excellent, with most major attractions within walking distance, including DFO South Wharf just 5 minutes away. The convenience store on the ground floor was also very handy. The gym and buffet breakfast were great, with plenty of choice and freshly made omelettes. The only downside was breakfast on the final morning. Despite arriving around 45 minutes before closing, many items had not been restocked, including juices and milk for the coffee machines, and finding plates and bowls was difficult. A kitchen staff member who had began packing food away as breakfast was ending was quite rude. Despite this disappointing final experience, the stay overall was excellent and I would happily stay here again.
I recently had my second stay at Oakwood Premier after a great experience earlier this year in the Executive Studio. The staff are lovely, the location is quiet and away from the busy CBD, and the hotel has great amenities. Unfortunately, our second stay was a little disappointing. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio and after checking in late, found there was no soap in the bathroom and no tissues provided. Our Deluxe Studio room was located on a lower floor (level 8) compared to the Executive Studio, and we noticed a lot more people passing by likely due to its proximity to the gym and common areas. The higher floors felt noticeably more private and secure. There was also some confusion at breakfast. We were advised that we needed to pay for the buffet despite breakfast already being included in our bookings on reservation. On our final night, we were woken at around 3–4am by a disruptive and aggressive person on our floor who was yelling and even attempted to bang on our door. We tried calling reception from both the room phone and our mobile phones, but no one answered. Thankfully the guy ended up leaving after a little while (not sure if he was a guest at the hotel). This experience also highlighted what feels like a need for better security, particularly on weekends when the hotel appears to be much busier with more people coming through. If you’re considering staying at Oakwood Premier, I’d recommend spending a little extra on an Executive Studio. We found it to be quieter, more private, and overall a much more comfortable experience. I’d also suggest staying during the week rather than on weekends, as the hotel seems significantly busier on weekends. We’re gutted that this was our experience, and we hope the hotel can make some improvements given that it is meant to be 5 star hotel!
I want to firstly thank ahmed for his patience and kindness and support to my enquiries and booking , I first called in the middle of the night while I was in Sydney a couple days before I was arriving to Melbourne , Ahmed was the one to answer the phone in the lobby , he was so kind and made me feel so welcomed and helped and guided me to getting a nice room as I requested for my anniversary. The room was amazing and so spacious with such an incredible view . Because of him my stay in Melbourne was something I will never forget .
