First time visitor and I was very impressed. Easily accessed via public transport and a short walk, the first impression is great. You enter via a ramp, which has a very Instagramable floral arch at the end. Staff behind the bar will let you choose seating. We came as a birthday celebration (2 people) and the barman gave us a complimentary glass of champagne each for the occasion. There are QR codes on the tables but you can also order at the bar. While the menu is very limited, the dishes they offer are very well done, with a focus on Australian produce. They accidentally gave us the cocktail menu that was starting the following week but were happy to make us anything else they had ingredients for. Food and cocktails came out in a timely manner and the staff were friendly. They were interested in feedback as some of the menu items were new. They have competition from two other “floating restaurants” in the immediate area. I would definitely come back to meet friends or bring visitors from interstate.
Sorry to say I went there the other day first time. I was so hungry so I ordered first the potato scallops before ordering anything else. Well that was enough to make me leave. And can you believe I left some behind… I love potato anything but this was so weird tasting. It looked great, very presentable. The potato was a purple potato which is fine but it tasted a bit weird. And the mayonnaise which they must have added something to, it was pink in colour. It had the strangest taste! Just not for me. Obviously they look popular on their ratings so maybe it’s just me. Sorry Botanica. Was a fail for me.
What an amazing day, the whole experience for the Mother's Day package was truly outstanding, the food, the atmosphere with lovely music, the drinks and especially the staff just made it a remarkable day. The extra attention to details were so very special and complimentary cocktail and the photo accompanied with a personalised card were a beautiful touch. Myself & my daughter were first time visitors and it certainly won't be too long before we return. A wonderful day enjoyed by us both, thank you for making it such a special day.
Came here for my birthday on a Wednesday night, and it was spectacular. The food was incredible, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the cocktails are wonderful. Loved the Australian flair to the food and drinks, added a beautiful flavour. Must have cocktail: Possum Walk (pictured with apple garnish) Must have food: Baked Brie (pictured) Also pictured: Fried chicken, cured trout, seafood toastie
Visited around 11am and ordered a margarita pizza, beetroot salad, Prosecco and Chandon. The pizza was average and could have done with more cheese. The salad had funky flavours, a little to funky for the occasion. However, the atmosphere is always great!
